And not that it matters one bit - but if you need just plastidip it gloss black to match the pro grille - but don’t think anyone will notice either way.
In case anyone was wondering (aesthetics/sensor wise) the LC250 wheels are plug and play; took 15 mins driving around for the 4Runner to recognize and set the TPMS.
After having my LC250 stolen last year, finally got everything buttoned up for delivery on a 4R platinum. Great work by the dealer helping out with everything. Some details below.
- de badge
- 265/65/20 Michelin X Ice winter tyres (LC Premium wheels and tyres to go on in summer)
- TRD Pro grille...
My two cents as someone who had an LC 250 premium pack for 16 months before it was stolen and now into a 4R platinum. All personal opinion and no right or wrong answer as you know.
LC Cons
- premium gas
- heavier and drives much more sluggish than the same powertrain in the 4R
- price
- no...
Just fyi this is dealer specific and not country. I have a pro grille on my platinum purchased from and installed by the dealer. If you google the part number there is a dealer in Ontario that will ship direct to your house and the dealer that my dealer in Calgary price matched to.
This is great thanks for sharing! So part of this as well I assume is ensuring the code you choose is using buttons or whatever that are distinct vs potentially vague (ie. Aux 1 button vs volume toggle on the steering wheel). Does it only give you one chance to enter the codes an start up before...
Much appreciated! I think I’ve learned as much as I can about how the system works in theory, but wanted to confirm in real world example with a 4R.
Regarding your comment about the high beam - like add the high beam into the code or some thing to mention to the installer?
Ya the $1200 ghost or IGLA or Masterguard - source was the police task force working on stolen cars. Again I’m not trying to argue just relay information. I’d think the police would be relatively objective in something like this vs the businesses selling these things. Seems like there is no sure...
Again. Not disagreeing. But being told the immobilizers are now being worked around as well - after paying $1200 for installation - not really a comforting confirmation
My two cents on this thread coming from someone who had their LC250 taken with this exact method.
They can take your car in under 4 mins (mine taken from outside a friends house where it was parked for less than an hour with us inside the home). The police I spoke to said even some vehicles...
Had wind chill on a 24 LC and coming on the 26 platinum. I never once saw what you mentioned and to be honest got so many compliments on how good the color looked. No cream in this one at all.
Lots of threads on this my friend - search heritage grille top right and you’ll see. Can also check out rave off road for even more options as part of a package (or not)
Simply not true re: inside job. Had my LC stolen and the police said all makes and models have been taken by organized crime. Many of which had no common threads.
