So the front plate will not fit? I heard the trans plate is different from hybrid to non Hybrid but I heard the front plate is able to bolt onto a non Hybrid vehicle.
The front plate will fit. The transmission plate won’t.

I ordered the PT228-60242 front skid plate to put on a 2025 Platinum trim 4Runner. Special props to all those who helped discover the fitment on this part. Mega props to NYTOP for Eric's responses.

Still some confusion on this here. I need a front skid plate for an SR5 to replace the fiberboard piece that comes on that model.
I know that this plate is longer than the original cover. Will it bolt on?
Searching for OEM options. Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

The proposition we have clarity on is that the front skid plate for a 2024 LC250, part # PT228-60242, will fit perfectly on a 2025 4Runner Hybrid model. It has been stated many times in many threads that this plate will only work on the Hybrid models because of the cross-member configuration. Post a thread with your specific vehicle and the proposed skid plate you want to put on it. There is no question you will receive detailed responses from individuals who somehow know these things.

Maybe I just didn't understand post #16 suggesting that the "front" plate will fit. I'm obviously not sure what the front plate would be if it fits.

I just installed the Land Cruiser FRONT skid plate, PT228-60242, on my 6th Gen SR5 4Runner(NON-HYBRID). Installation was a breeze and all the holes lined up EXACTLY. The kit comes with (6) 12mm bolts and a black metal bracket which I did not use (probably for a Land Cruiser). It took me all of about 20min to install by myself. Dimensions are approximately 28.5" x 38".

Purchased from my dealerships website ($360) and picked up at their parts department. Oddly, this saved me about $150 as opposed to doing a "walk-in" purchase.

** FYI, the slotted holes are to hang the skid plate in place, for single person installation.

Hope this helps

Also, could you have kept the air dam if you wanted to?

Negative. The original piece ended up in the trash. The skid plate completely replaces that and extends much further back.

Also, you could still use the air dam with this skid plate, if you chose. It does not extend any further forward than the OEM fiberboard original.

I'm thinking I will use a colored Rust-Oleum paint and color the word Toyota to help it jump off the plate. My plate will arrive in a few days, I might feel differently when I get it. But, a blue heritage likeness to match my 4Runner color might be a winner.

Thanks for sharing. Your truck wears it well.

Just ordered both the PT228-60242 and the PT228-35241 for my OR Hybrid trim. Great info! Will post pics when done.

Installed mine today. Bought a used one from ebay. Looks good and offers a much better level of protection.
