Heat gun. Start out in the lowest setting. I was able to get some scratches out on a fender flare.
Just be patient and don't heat it up too quickly or too much. You could change the color of the plastic in that area by doing so. Ask me how I know. But, that method worked pretty good for me.
We have a set of LC takeoffs on our SR5. Basically the same as the 4R OR running boards.
The jury is still out on this one for me. I do use the boards for entry and exit most of the time. But, they do seem to be in the way and useless at times.
I do think that they do offer some level of...
I guess that Mudbath would technically be the color to show dirt the least. But, that one is available on the higher trims only. Otherwise, it would be Cutting Edge. And, its more of a classic color.
We just got back from a 2500mi road trip to backwoods Tennessee and Mississippi in our Cutting Edge SR5.
That color tends to hide dirt well and still looks pretty good with a coating of Mississippi mud. Probably the best color choice given your concerns.
Still some confusion on this here. I need a front skid plate for an SR5 to replace the fiberboard piece that comes on that model.
I know that this plate is longer than the original cover. Will it bolt on?
Searching for OEM options. Can someone please confirm? Thanks.
Noise from the front end while driving today. Pulled over to discover that both ends of the front air dam had totally detached.
Pulled it off on the spot and it will not be going back on.
We picked a set of these up locally from FB Marketplace for our SR5. They look good but the functionality is just okay. Really we could have just gone without the boards completely, but they do offer some protection from door dings from other cars and potentially from rock chips being thrown up...
Lack of parking sensors and the open height of the manual rear liftgate cannot be adjusted. I can't open liftgate without it hitting the garage door.
Most other issues easy to fix.
I cannot speak to the OP's question.
But, I did find the process for getting thru customs on our SR5 a little bit drawn out. This may not be totally accurate, but I believe that our 4R arrived at LA, was shipped by rail to Houston, and after port options were installed there it finally went...
I have not seen those boards come on the SR5's at all. That would be an option that I would choose, assuming that I could get that exact set.
Please share the part number if you have it. I haven't seen anyone come up with that Toyota part number as of yet.
Thanks.
Here's an explanation of what seems to be Ford's strategy.
Reduce incentives and raise finance rates and then tell everyone that it's employee pricing. And, that may be true, it's just not the whole story.
Anyone looking to finance a new car purchase should be aggressively shopping rates.
