This was up driving the other day. Any idea how to get the normal lane assist in the middle? Having trouble getting info on this.

Hold down OK. Scroll left or right with the arrows next to the ok button. I believe it come up on on of them as "blank" when you get to the middle. It can be frustrating. Sit in your car with it running and play with those buttons. Don't try it while you are driving.

thats not how gen z and millennials work :ROFLMAO:
If we're doing age-related shade today...My experience tells me that the Boomers are far FAR more likely to make their problems everybody's problems by not handling them themselves.

The younger folks will google three or four things, then ask in a group/forum.

As for "RTFM" there may be a number of reasons why they can't (to be fair, it's usually "didn't", not "can't"). My manual isn't in my vehicle and I'm frequently *checks notes* not at home when I'm driving it. Also, I've rarely had a used vehicle come with a manual. Some people may not actually have one.

This is a forum, not just a wildly complicated way of telling people to read their manuals. There could be a sticky and 200 threads on this exact question going back 11 years, and it'll still get asked weekly. See: Tire sizes on every automotive forum going back over 25 years.

Youtube can actually be better than the manual. Perhaps that may help some.
thats how most gen z or gen m work, they ask and hope someone gives them the answer instead of looking in the manual.

my wife did this with our kids, drove me up the wall. i guess thats why the kids ran to mom for help with the homework and quit asking me. i would make them read the book and figure it out. if i can find it by reading then the kids can learn to find it themselves.

my dad wouldnt even give me the time of day with homework. either i got good grades or grounded me and/or took the car keys away.

it was up to me to figure it out.

I often have a manual open and have a computer up with videos on YouTube. People often find an easier way to perform a job. Especially on race motorcycles I have had that can be very difficult to do even simple maintenance on. Like a CBR 1000RR spark plug change. The manual says to do it by fairings off, drop the radiator, remove XYZ.... takes hours just to change plugs, but there are several alternative ways that cut the time in half. Using multiple sources of information can be very useful.

I keep the manual loaded on my phone and my computer at home. I seem to always be looking up some feature or spec. It is DEFINITELY much easier to use the electronic version with the search features, than the paper manual in my opinion.

I use both on some , certain pages in the hardcopy have folded pages for things like capacities and torque specs.
