Upgrading your suspension makes all the difference between a truck that just carries your gear and one that actually handles well with it loaded up. Not sure what suspension kit to get for your 6th gen 4Runner? Don't worry, we've got the answer: Old Man Emu's MT64. Here's why.
Why Suspension Comes First
Here's the problem: every accessory you add to your build, bumpers, drawers, a rooftop tent, extra fuel and water, adds weight, and that weight slowly compresses your stock suspension over time. The result is sag, a harsher ride, and less control right when you need it most. Suspension is the first upgrade because it's the foundation everything else on your build sits on.

About the MT64 Shocks
The MT64 shocks sit right in the middle of the OME lineup, between the iconic Nitrocharger and the ultra-high-performance, adjustable BP-51. About the Upper Control Arms
Your 6th gen 4Runner runs an IFS (independent front suspension) setup, meaning each front wheel moves independently instead of both sides being connected by a solid axle. The upper control arm is a key part of that system; it connects your frame to the front wheel hub, and it's a big part of what keeps your front end aligned and handling right, on- and off-road.
The problem is, when you lift the front of your 4Runner, it changes that geometry enough that a shop can't always get you back into proper alignment spec with the stock arms. This can cause other issues down the line. But, OME's Upper Control Arms fix that by giving you the adjustment range you need at your new ride height, so your alignment can actually be corrected instead of running out of range.
