25 Limited with the stock roof rack. I get so much wind noise I’m constantly checking if the sunroof is cracked open. I’m wondering if adjusting the position of the cross beams might help. Anyone else notice this? I’m willing to change out the rack with aftermarket if I could ensure less noise.

I don’t have one on my 4R currently but I had a Prinsu on my last Tacoma - it was extremely noticeable. That’s just roof rack life, in my experience. Even with deflector and stripping it didn’t really mitigate much and partially the reason I didn’t slap one on my 4R immediately..

On my 5th Gen there's a sticker showing the quietest position for the front bar; it's about a foot back from full forward. It's almost certainly the front bar and moving it back should help. If you don't mind a funky look you can also try spiral-wrapping the front bar with rope.

My 2025 Limited Hybrid was delivered with the “cross bars” installed. Once is got it on the road I experienced hearing the same noise you did. I kept thinking a window was open or the sunroof was not totally closed. Happy that I REMOVED mine! Only dissapointment as the 535.00 added to my invoice for them, now, they are just wrapped up in plastic in my garage. No one seems do even be interested in purchasing for 250.00… oh well

I installed the Sherpa rack and haven’t noticed any noise. I mostly listen to podcasts (as opposed to loud music) so I’d think I would notice if it was loud or bothersome.

Full disclosure: I have yet to drive with anything mounted to the rack.

My ORP came with the cross bars (which I wanted, so that was good). I removed them for now as I do not need them, but did not notice much, if any, difference in wind noise. That said, there is very little wind noise anyway. Admittedly I am coming from a much older, noisier vehicle, but still this is a very quiet vehicle. Toyota does recommend removing the bars when not in use--not sure why really, whether it is noise, aerodynamics, or what. They are fairly easy and quick to remove/reinstall.

I was concerned the crossbars on my new ORP would be making additional noise I didn’t want to hear, so took them off yesterday. Honestly I didn’t notice much of a difference in noise with them on or off, the bike rack on the back of the truck makes more wind noise than they did. Put them back on for now :)
