I appreciate the responses. I know that the vehicle will automatically apply the parking brake. I’m asking specifically about whether I should put the car in neutral, apply the parking brake, and then put it into park.
I’m asking because I’ve read that that’s the way to keep the pressure off...
Forgive my ignorance but is there a recommended procedure for applying and disengaging the parking brake? When parking, should I apply the brake while in drive and then put it into park or is it sufficient to simply put it in park and have the rig auto apply the parking brake? Same question in...
The FOB has to be with you and fairly close for the close & lock feature to work. With it in my pocket I usually get my leg close (if not touching the bumper) when I press the button and I don’t move back until it starts to close. Once initiated you can walk away and the multiple beeps will...
My thinking is that say you have some lumber or surfboards and you absentmindedly open the hatch via the in dash button or remote, it would be to protect both the material and the car.
Thanks for the interest but the drop steps were traded to Griffin27 and he also bought the OEM roof rack.
I haven’t thrown away the air dam yet if anyone wants it for free.
I installed the Sherpa rack and haven’t noticed any noise. I mostly listen to podcasts (as opposed to loud music) so I’d think I would notice if it was loud or bothersome.
Full disclosure: I have yet to drive with anything mounted to the rack.
The key is to make sure you get an “Options Contract” which should give you 7 days to have your bank take over the loan.
You take the options contract to your bank and, if approved, they’ll pay off Toyota and the contract is ripped up. Wait until the week expires and your contract/loan with...
I’d be mindful of simply refinancing the dealership loan as it is often simple interest as opposed to compound interest. The difference being that simple interest is calculated upfront and then folded into the loan whereas compound interest is calculated every month.
If I loan you $100 at 5%...

In most cases some, if not all, of that will be passed onto the consumer. The point I made in my original comment is that people mistakenly believe the value will be higher. Just correcting the math.
Tariffs are charged to the company on their costs of producing the goods as it is essentially a fee to them. It isn’t based on the MSRP or the final cost to the consumer (no tariffs on markups essentially).
This means that if Company A makes shoes for $40 overseas and sells it for $100 once...
My Sport Premium came with the Predator Drop Steps and I actually prefer the fixed running boards. I live in SoCal too, any chance you’d want to swap?
I wouldn't have chosen this option had it not already been installed when it arrived at the dealership but it's starting to grow on me. I thought the illuminated logo would be a lot more offensive but after seeing it on my rig the last several nights I actually kinda like it. Just thought I'd...
As a longtime admirer of the 4Runner, I'm very excited to join the ranks with my first ever rig. I opted for the 6th Gen Sport Premium in Underground. Yesterday after a wash, I went out for an impromptu photoshoot with what little light I had left in the day. These were all shot on my iPhone...
Hey All,
I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to check in and say hi. I've been going through tons of the posts recently and I can't wait to come to you all for my questions regarding my purchase of a 2025 4Runner Sport Premium which I'm due to take delivery of in about 3 weeks. I'm coming...
