I took the stock rock rails off my TrailHunter and replaced them with the Predator steps. I don't personally use them, nor do they get in my way of entering or exiting the vehicle, but I'm 6'1". My 5' tall wife uses them to enter and exit, and she has no complaints.

Good to know. I was thinking of buying a set and wanted to do my research before buying. I’m also 6’1” so I guess I’d probably not use them either.

Why do they get such a bad rap? Do they get in the way when entering and exiting the vehicle?

I personally think they are small....the step that runs the whole length or rock rails both provide a good place to step if you put anything on your roof.

The OEM rock rails are too close to the body to be useful as steps. Something like the Dissent Off Road step rails would be much better.

Installed a Joy Tutus dash mount from Amazon. Feels real solid.
Probably won’t use the phone mount it came with but arm was all metal. Just too big for my use.
