I’m just planning ahead here and I understand their are past threads on the topic but I’m looking for updates thoughts on wether to go Westcott vs Prinsu for a roof rack. I’m a general user so I’m looking for price, style, craftsmanship,, noise and durability. Also for people in Canada, where to find them. My TRD Pro should be delivered in a few weeks.

I went with a Prinsu Pro rack for my TRD Pro, but I went with Westcott Designs for my Preload Collar Lift and plan to get Westcott Designs rock sliders here shortly. It’s a personal choice. The owner of Westcott Designs is great!

Thanks. I am leaning towards the Westcott rack and sliders. Both seem good but just looking for some real life use feedback.

Same as TRD Pro Girl, I went with Prinsu Pro rack but with Wescott for rock sliders. You probably can’t go wrong either way. Both companies seem to put out quality product. For the rack, think about what you plan on attaching to it and then study the design of your intended rack to make sure it will all work. For instance, maybe when not off road you might want to put like a Thule roof box up there - we’ll make sure the crossbars aren’t too big for those claw feet. Also, take a look at what other products each company and other after market companies are putting out that will help with what you want to attach and make sure they will work together. Sees like most of these companies are designing their channels and what not similarly but you never know.

If I were to do it again, I would go with Prinsu (and I have a Westcott Roof rack). I had to post on here somewhere explaining (my thoughts) on the pros and cons of the various roof racks that are out there.

Thanks, If you have a link to the pros and cons that would be great. On my 2014 I had a Rhino Rack. It did it's job but the profile is too high and it is noisy.

Thanks, I appreciate the response. Do any of the racks allow the ability to leave a crossbar out for the sunroof? Which one allows the Thule to attach as I do have a roof box.

Sherpa the rails can be moved around. My Crestone on my 21 didn't interfere with the sunroof, had enough room.

Sherpa doesn't need silicone sealant and doesn't leak

Another +1 for Sherpa Capitol here. Easy install, no drill, no silicone, lots of options for customizations with the crossbar placement, and two fairing options for light bar/no light bar.

Good prior post. Saw in your pics you had the Roam mounts. How do you like the Roam rooftop products?
I really like Roam products, specifically the fact that they have mounts that work so well and are lockable. They are not cheap, but definitely worth it.
