It definitely wasn’t easy and yes, you kinda have to pry part of it away from the plug wall pulling up at the same time. It took me quite a while to finally get it off.
I got an oil change at 1000 miles just in case. The included Service from Toyota that was due at 5000 miles only included tire rotation which I didn’t really need since I had just put new tires on at about 600 miles but I went ahead and let them do it anyway just so there’s a record of the...
I agree with this question. If you are going to be adding armor and gear, you'll want to upgrade the coils anyway, so why not just go with weight/use specific aftermarket suspension anyway?
From the little bit of research I have done, I would look at Dobinson. I just ordered new coils, rear...
I talked to Mike at Exit Offroad, he told me which coils I needed to order, and that would be compatible with my Westcott spacers. He also said I could use their .6" spacer to make the difference and the get the rear lift 1" like I planned with the Westcott rear spacer. The takeaway I got from...
I would say if you’re planning on putting gear and a significant amount of weight in the back of your vehicle then I would avoid the spacer and go with at least a heavier duty coil. Lesson learned on my part. The spacer won’t account for sag.
I just ordered these (see picture). The coil will
Give me .5” and the spacer they recommend will give me .6” for a total of 1.1” of lift, plus no sag when carrying gear. I should not have ordered the rear spacer from Westcott-lesson learned. The spacer won’t keep the rear from sagging, something...
I’m curious if you have taken your rig out fully loaded with this leveling kit installed? I just purchased it and not questioning my purpose due to the fact that I’m worried about the rear end sagging when loaded with gear. I think I probably should’ve purchased the front spacer and installed...

Thanks for this. I'm a firefighter, so this makes perfect training to go over with the crew today, then do a little show and tell with my own hybrid 4Runner.
I have the same roof rack and one of the main complaints I have is that you have to remove the crossbar every time you want mount something which has caused me to strip a couple of the bolts that were included due to having to remove them so often. Do you happen to know what size the bolt is...
Thank you for that response, James. It's all valid and appreciated. I actually just got off the phone with Victory 4x4. I offered to drive out to them to attempt to fit a full steel skid (minus the gas tank) on my rig since I have a hybrid, and they cant verify proper fit. Of course, I didn't...
If you are struggling to decide which roof rack to purchase, you are not alone. Whether you're looking at Sherpa, Westcott, Prinsu, etc, there are a lot of choices available on the market.
I ended up purchasing the Westcott Designs low-profile roof rack. They have a lot of strong advertising...
