Does anyone else remove the second row headrests to get a "full view" from the rear view mirror? Maybe another solution is to just fold the second row down but it's nice to have them up to put smaller items there.

I agree. They are borderline dangerous fir drivers who care what’s behind them. Mt 2014 ford escape had fold down headrest. Toyota seems so behind.

Removed them from my PreRunner. Removed them from Tundra. And I removed them from the 4Runner

If they weren't holding my dog taco it would have been one of the first things I did to my 4runner. Still 100x better than my BMW X2 though.

This is where it's nice to have that digital rear view mirror (if you're trim has it). I'm still trying to get used to it, but it gives you so much better coverage than the old school regular rear view mirror. I originally didn't think I'd use it much because I don't plan on towing, but it is useful (for me anyway) in daily driving.

Agree on the digital mirror.

do the rear headrest remove easily?
I am not at home to check. On previous vehicles, they had a button to depress on the lower stem.

I was really bummed to find out my ORP didn’t have the digital mirror, it’s has pretty much everything but that for some reason.

I removed the middle headrest and what a relief to be able to see the full view behind me. I generally don't have anyone in that seat position, so works perfect for me. The panoramic view is good in some cases but makes me a bit car sick like a 3D movie, so don't use it often and the solution for me was taking out the middle head rest.
