I get around 340 miles/tank, but I do not run it to zero. Usually at around 50 miles or so left on the indicator.

I'm getting 15.3 MPG, 260 mile range. This is due to the Peak Suspension lift, Westcott design rock sliders, 285X 70 17 Toyo RT Tires (Method wheels), CBI Super stock bumper and DV8 skid plates.

and when you add fuel, the number you get is the estimate
for last [last something I don't know all of it] but basically driving
patterns and behavior for X gallons
on hybrids it does a lot more calculations including hybrid battery state,
discharge rate and usage, regeneration, and overall pack health.
on ICE only it's a lot simpler calculation essentially injector pulses
and miles travelled, no need to do the hybrid algorithms

I’m in AZ. Most travel from Phx to White Mountains. About 190 miles and from. 1,100 ft to 7,400 ft of elevation. I’m averaging about 23 mpg and range states in the 390mile range. I average about 3-5 miles over speed limit. I keep my air dam on till I get to mountains to do some wheeling.
Yea it calculates it by your average mpg. I noticed too that if you’re getting better mpg. The miles til empty will change slowly You could go 5 miles and it’ll say the same miles till empty. And also you have about 3 gallons of gas left in the tank when you hit “0 miles till empty”. 19 gallon tank. And when ever I go fill up at 0. It fills only 16 gallons +/-

I average 340-345. Strangely I use premium gas and drive in sport mode all the time now, when I used regular gas and normal drive mode I was averaging 335mpg.

I'm burning top tier gasolne and averaging 370 per tank. I live in Florida which is very flat.

I just burned off my first full tank of gas in my new Trailhunter and racked up 298 miles. I live in CT and the weather has been in the low 20s, so several remote starts with the vehicle sitting idle for a few minutes twice daily. Plus, highway construction to and from work which has me sitting idle for a few minutes as cars merge to a single lane. Both hurt the mpg. When my tank was full after picking the Vehicle up at the dealership the estimated mpg was 333 for a full tank. When I went to fill up the tank it only took 16.2 gallons and was expected to get closer to the 19, which would along with your comment of having roughly 3 gallons in the tank when the estimated miles read zero.
Idling of course affects MPG some, but I would not expect all that much unless it is a significant percent of the time. Of course the hybrid solves that, it just shuts down when you are not moving unless it has to charge the battery (which is not often as it is normally charged well while you are driving/braking).
