Hi, I gave the dealer a deposit for a 2026 4 Runner. I’d like to know if this configuration will be difficult. I gave the dealer two color choices, Underground or Heritage Blue and must have the brown interior and I do not want a third row and no hybrid. The salesman Said he hasn’t seen the Underground with the brown ever. I feel if I’m spending that kind of money, that’s what I want.

I looked at the allocation sheets on this site and it looks like slim pickings. let me know if I’m being realistic, I’m in New England area.

Thanks

Toyota Inventory | New Toyota Inventory Search

I found mine using this site. You can set your zip and filter to see all vehicle within 500 miles. I dont know where you are in CT but i did New Haven and it looks like there are 8 that are not in transit and not marked as sale pending. Sometimes the dealers dont post availability so when i got mine back in June ijust had to keep calling and asking if stock # was on lot

I bought silver color with black interior back in June but I do remember searching for the mushroom color back then. I used the Google spreadsheet from this website. I thought it would look great with green exterior.

I could not get red interior unless I got the TRD pro when I was first looking at the Toyota 4Runner I wanted smoked Mesquite with coffee seats. They said no! it’s so sad that you can spend almost $80,000 and not get to pick what you want

@Steveg203 , you need to look for a Limited non-hybrid model if you want the Portabello interior in Underground or Heritage Blue.

Don’t know what east coast availability is like but those aren’t particularly rare so you shouldn’t have too hard of a time getting what you want.

There’s one Limited non-hybrid Underground with Portabello and no third row available within 500 miles from me and 2 in Heritage Blue with the same options.

It makes sense that Toyota wouldn’t sell the TRD Pro interior in a non-TRD Pro model.

What are those others colors you mentioned? As far as I know Toyota doesn’t sell any 6G 4Runner in smoked mesquite or with coffee interior, do you have inside knowledge of new paint and interior colors coming out?

since Toyota does not take custom orders, I think the likelihood that you find one is slim to none...

I re-ran the search.

There are 17 non-hybrid Underground/Portabello Limiteds within 500 miles of me.

Go get your deposit back, fly to San Francisco and have an amazing road trip driving this one home:

It's a fine line between finding a dealership that will actually work with you at the port of entry level.

Usually if the dealerships on line Fleet Sales guy is up on his game he can catch a vehicle coming into the Port with your name on it before it is configured with a lot of that stuff they put on them.

And usually it's exterior stuff like cross roof rails, floor mats, blackout kits, door Edge protectors, lit up Toyota Grill logo, Etc.
The dealership can work those things off of your build but usually they cannot add or change the interior color.
Good luck

So I sold my daily a couple of weeks ago cause I was under the impression I could just walk into any Toyota dealer and just buy a TRD Pro off the lot. Boy was I wrong. I don't know what's going on at the moment but here in the southeast there's almost none available as inventory. The ones showing on the Toyota site are either already sold or have red interior which I don't want.

I put a deposit on an incoming one from a South Florida dealer but in classic Florida style it was a phantom truck and he was just holding my $500 hoping to get an allocation at some point, so I cancelled that and my money back. My local dealer has a 25 which I don't want at this late stage and that asshat decided to paint a pinstripe on it to boot as an add-on, as if it were an 85 Fleetwood.

One of my best friends owns a dealership in NC, nothing coming in till at least end of March. Another great hookup in OH, also nothing till end of March. Same across most of the dealerships that I have contacted. They all either have no trucks coming in any time soon or the ones they do have are spoken for, have waiting lists, and even some are asking for markups and so they don't want to trade them to other dealers.

Finally yesterday, through another close friend out in SLC I got hooked up with a dealer in Idaho that has one coming in mid Feb, so I jumped on it. No markup but I do obviously have to have it shipped from ID to South Carolina.

It's insane to me that this truck is so hard to get, and that I had to go all the way to Idaho to find one. It's almost as hard as securing a GT3 Touring allocation at sticker. Crazy times. :)

They are hard to get still in many parts of the country. It's actually good that you are getting one outside of the SET - Southeast Toyota Region. I'll almost guarantee you'll end up saving money even when you include the price of shipping. SET has their own little monopoly going. It will be worth your wait. You won't be disappointed in the Pro.

I think they like to keep it that way so they can get the full MSRP or better! It is also the model they make the most profit off of and can afford to discount...but by keeping inventory low they can make full profit on them. I paid under invoice for my SR5 and it is already the model they make the least profit off of.

before the new colors came out for the new year, I didn’t know what the colors were going to be. I was hoping. I was wrong.
