Yes, I broke a few tabs on the bezel. Couldn’t get my fingers under the whole assy very well. Fingers are still sore from trying. The few broken tabs did not make much of a difference. Bezel snapped back on and is sitting nice and flush, so no need to replace IMO.
Sienna Cable install. Did you have all components installed before powering back on? I didn't have the headliner console plugged in when I started the vehicle.
From what I remember about my install, I had the vehicle completely turned off during the install process.
Yes, my car was off until install was completed then turned it on to test.
I pulled the overhead console and plugged the camera in and tested it without reconnecting the console plug. I got a voice that said there was a problem when I turned on the ignition. I turned ignition off and reconnected the overhead console and everything was fine. We will see if I get the same message from the dealer, but nothing yet.
I went on the Toyota DashCam website and put in 2025 Hybrid 4Runner and it says not available for this model??
Not sure why a hybrid would be any different than the straight gas version. Mine was port installed but your dealer can also do it, I’ve even seen people install it themselves.
Didn't take any pictures but if you watch this video for the Meso Customs light install its the same thing. In this video, they make it look really easy, and it wont be that easy... It just pops out but it takes a lot of force that first time you do it, and you have to be careful that when your pulling down on it, your pulling down on the whole assembly and not just the bezel that's around the outside as you will snap the clips on the bezel if you pull it. There is not a lot of room and it will be pinching your fingers so its just a PITA, its not hard just learn from my mistakes and take more care with the bezel. At the time, I didn't realize it was just the bezel coming down so I kept pulling.
I did not disconnect, but I also didn't turn the car on until everything was plugged back in. No errors.
