2025 4runner 6th gen Dogs / Pets ride-along photos thread! 🐾 CharliN

We're building a kennel for her back there. Window panels and divider are from Victory 4x4, we'll add the canvasback liner at some point soon, and when Orange Boxx finishes up their Fur Runner window panel for the 6th gens we'll do that to finish it off...

I'm shocked at how everyone seems to keep their pets in the far back. I keep mine on the back seat. Her current pet thing though that goes over the whole back seat area and attaches to the headrests, is too slippery. Think I got it at Costco. Need to find a non-slip pad or a different piece all together.

My dog would never stay in the cargo area so he’s in the back seat too. I got a dog hammock for the 4R from Orvis after recommendations here, it’s by far the nicest I’ve used out of the 6-7 I’ve had over the years. Very soft, my dog loves it.

I have two weimaraners that are 100% in the front passanger seat if there isn't a barrier. Hell they try to bust through the rear barrier to get up front LOL. A ride usually equals a long walk/hike/camp and they go batshit crazy. I do have a rear seat hammock (I have 4 dogs) but only one of the chill dogs goes there. Other three in the back.

Dalmatians + open windows = 4Runner snow globe.

Weimaraner not so much 🤣
My weims are pretty much allergic to the cold lol. They spend all winter under a blanket or in a sunny window trying to warm up.

You don't have two 85 pound each dogs.

having all the space in the back for the pups PLUS the roll down window was a major purchase consideration for the runner.

The two border collies ride in the 2nd row area most of the time behind a front barrier and we also use a rear seat barrier to keep the cargo area stuff in place when traveling or loaded up.
There’s also a back window barrier!
