Do any tunes eliminate auto start stop?

Looking to see if there is a way to eliminate the auto start stop feature. All of the new 4Runners I see do not have the button to turn off auto start stop. Curious if any tunes eliminate this feature.

I am confused, I didn't think 26 4Runners has that start/stop stuff. My 26 Tacoma OR nor my 206 ORP 4Runner have that. Tacoma being hybrid 4Runner gas.

Yes, Tow-Haul does remove the start-stop activation. It also maintains higher RPM the entire time. Always a tradeoff...

Not sure what version you are asking about...it does not make sense to disable this on hybrid models, as that is part of the point of hybrid. They start smoothly with the hybrid motor though, and I find it very smooth (and have not seen any complaints on this in this forum). For gas I do not know. I do see little point in gas models for auto stop/start. I always see fuel savings as a plus, but I cannot imagine it saving anything significant unless you sit around for a long time without moving. Even a long light would only be a minute or so, and an engine at idle does not use much fuel (admittedly it is completely wasting what fuel it does burn). The percentage it would be off versus the overall driving time would be tiny.

I've had it in for 2 weeks now, and works perfectly.

Mine is a 26 gas limited.
I also had a 25 TRD Sport, and it did not have ASS.

The limited is the only gas model with ASS, as specified very clearly in Toyota features lists by trim

the gas models other than limited don’t have ASS.

As for hybrids, I wouldn’t really call the gas motor shutting off ASS. It’s just standard hybrid operation.
