Cabin Air Filter Part Number (OEM Toyota)

87139-60030
is the non-carbon cabin air filter version
87139-30110 is the carbon cabin air filter version

Note: 87139-0C010 (non-carbon) is NOT the correct part number

Cabin Air Filter Replacement Instructions

Toyota recommends checking the cabin air filter every 15,000 miles. To replace it:
  1. Open the glove box
  2. Push in the sides to release the stops and lower it completely
  3. Remove the cabin filter housing cover
  4. Pull out the filter cartridge and inspect it
  5. Insert the new filter (make sure the AIR FLOW direction arrows point down)
  6. Reinstall the cover and glove box
Cabin filters trap dust, pollen, and airborne contaminants. A clogged filter can reduce HVAC airflow and window defogging performance.
Where do you buy the filters? if its online what website?

Actually, if you search around dealers in various states, most are always running sales. You get them cheaper ordering online over walking into the actual parts department. I just ordered some parts from https://www.sparksparts.com/cart, that were on sale.

I just replaced my factory paper filter with the carbon one at 1 year/15k miles. Carbon one feels much heavier and solid - so far it's been helping a LOT with the pollen we've been getting in NC. No perceived difference in airflow so I'd say this is a win.

PN is confirmed 87139-30110

Also for anyone looking to replace the engine air filter, PN 17801-YZZ11 is NOT the one that comes with the truck from factory. It is a suitable replacement but it is much thinner than the original. The original one is PN 17801-0P051 (or PN 17801-31131).

Also, the factory filter is not available from Toyota dealers. They push the original to the new thinner filter media.

This is what I found:
  • The original filter is still available from various dealers, see screen shots below.
  • For what it is worth, ā€˜AI’ said the following:
Toyota part 17801-0P051 and 17801-YZZ11 are interchangeable OEM engine air filters, but with a few key distinctions regarding manufacturing and design.
  • Official Status: 17801-YZZ11 is the current, active part number. Toyota officially supersedes and replaces 17801-0P051 with the 17801-YZZ11 filter.
  • Manufacturer: 17801-0P051 is typically a Japanese-made (often OEM) filter, while the 17801-YZZ11 is part of Toyota's North American parts program.
  • Design Differences: Some owners and mechanics have noted that the 17801-0P051 has slightly deeper filter media (pleats), making it appear marginally thicker than the 17801-YZZ11.

I also noted that 17801-0P051 is used by Lexus, thus a Lexus dealer may have the 'original' filter in stock.
