My first hybrid, who knew the battery had filters? Thanks for the enlightenment; I will make it routine maintenance.

My understanding after doing research and searching together w/ dealer parts desk (this was a few months back)
The TH engine air intake filter is reusable. Like a K & N filter type. Toyota sells the kit or use others.
Hard to find even the Taco TH filter.
I'm gonna check mine soon at 10K

Yep! For the 2025 TH and Pro, the Engine Air Filter Part: 17801-YZZ11 is NOT the correct filter. The TH and Pro have a reusable filter that is meant to be cleaned. Toyota apparently no longer sells a cleaning kit. Need to use a third-party cleaning kit such as K&N Air Filter Cleaning Kit-99-5000 (Amazon $24).

If you want to replace the filter with an OEM filter: Toyota PTR03-35241-AA FILTER CONCL TR ($96 Toyota Retail).

same. I probably would have just thought they were covers for the rear speakers or something lol
I was actually roaming around the back earlier today and saw these and thought they might be speakers too lol, I said i'll look into it later and just so happen to stumble on this thread.

Due to offroading and lack of rain in my area I decided to check my battery filters. Glad I did. Unfortunately I didn't think about doing a writeup until after I was done so I have no before pics. Take my word, not only was the filters dirty but the tube and foam leading down to the fan were coated. The Toyota parts manager said they had a hybrid in this week with a overheating battery and when they took the covers off they found the filters clogged with dog hair. These fans really move some air, do not recommend driving on dusty road with rear window down...

Part Number: G92DH-34010 / G92DJ-34010

What they look like:

To Remove, just use a panel removal tool or a flathead screw driver with a piece of tape over the blade and work the lower outer corner so you can grab it. Once corner is out, give a careful firm tug and it'll pop out and should come free, Note the upper tabs that go behind the top piece.

Pic of the tube leading to the battery and fan, which was completely coated with dust.

New filter in place. To reinstall just put the top tabs under the top shelf and pop back in. Very simple, took 20 minutes.
