You can't, they will have to drain it to check the level. The dealer can't and wont do it unless there is a serious recurring problem/messages that relate to the transmision.
Its not recommended as well since it can cause problem if drained so early in a car
I got this one. Have had it since the 4runner cane out. No issues at all. It just takes some adjustment to get it into a right place. I would suggest getting nylon nuts. I haven't added them to my plate but its a small improvement...
You would have to remove all the fluid to check the level. To put it back in you would need a pump. There is no dip stick on their toyota for the transmision fluid.
My guess its a viscosity issue with the fluid.
I have a trail hunter and modified some steps that can fit the rock rails. If you guys reach out we can work on the dimensions and have it be sold under your brand. I can provide the measurements and other small details
Sooooo yay and Nay
I had a great tech, more than 20 years of experience. He did explain to me the transmission is really reliable, its been used in other models for the past years. Such as the avalon and camery. However the motor might be building up a different pressure so there is a mist...
TRAIL HUNTER owener here. Mine has similar issues. When I put it in reverse it struggles to go back as if its trying to find the right gear. In a way it giggles back and forth until I stop, change it to park and THEN it will work.
My car has 3700 miles, I noticed the car struggles changing...
You can't really check unless (I think) a dealer uses a scan tool Or the entire fluidd is drained. Unfortunately for this 4runner no dip stick is available for the trans.
Yea.. I was getting a feeling that would happen. Unless a failure happens they can't do much about it. Specially the transfluid since they would have to drain it completely to see the issue. Its also not recommended usually to replace transmission fluid so early.
I will try at it too but ask...
I have hears about that. Another poster mentioned they got a message for hybrid system failing. When they took it to the dealer they said it was low on trans fluid
I have a post on a no drill license holder. The bracket holds really well.
Check it out
