35's on TRD Off-Road with stock suspension + fifteen52 white wheels + Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 35x11.50R17 LT

Saw this TRD Off-Road build posted by Alex at Snail Works. He managed to stuff 35" tires on the 2025 4Runner TRD Off-Road with stock suspension!

But according to him - a LOT had to be trimmed. Impact braces in the wheel wells removed, bumper cut back around 3 inches at parts, fender brought back 2 inches.

Love the look though. And the white wheels (fifteen52 Analog HD) are definitely unique on Heritage Blue.

I commend the effort for sure. I do wish i was able to get that heritage blue color. Those rims remind me of the top of a baked bean can.

while I'm a fan of 35s, I fit 34s on my HB TRDORP, stock suspension, +25 wheels without trimming anything.

I don't see the benefit of going to 35s

I don't understand why you would cut so much off of your truck just to be able to fit and steer 35's at stock height. It doesn't even make sense off-road. It'll hit all over the place under compression.

If you use the proper offset wheel you won't have to do much at all for making 35s fit, according to this vid.

Hey everyone!

Alex from Snail Works. Thanks for reposting, just wanted to make some things clear:

1. The last photo that OP included is not of my 4R but of my fellow enthusiast David’s LX470 when he was fitting 37s. Below I’ve attached a few photos of what my wheel wells look like

2. Putting 35s on stock suspension can simulate what a lifted suspension experiences under compression. It gives me a good idea of how much I need to trim for there to be zero rubbing on the trail once I get a lift.
