  1. Strange low range shift points

My LC250 2.4l hybrid has this horrible shifting in low range too. I often switch to manual mode to keep the rpms down. Manual mode also sucks because if say you're in 3rd gear and slow down, the vehicle will automatically switch back to 1st and stay there, then you have to manually switch back...
  2. Part-time 4WD system living in Utah / Colorado winters?

You can get the LC with 18s. The range on the LC isn't a good selling point, not much better on the 4runner. GX has a ~21 gallon tank.
  3. Part-time 4WD system living in Utah / Colorado winters?

Did you look at any of the Land Cruiser 250 or GX550 trims?
  4. Dr. KDSS TrackBar Correction kit installed

I think your confusion is with the brand name "Dr. KDSS" This bracket doesn't have anything to do with KDSS and is only a panhard bar correction kit.
  5. Front & Rear Bumpstops Upgrade (brackets from LC250 / GX550 are direct bolt-on)

It's strange how Toyota decided to put the main bumps on the LC250/GX550, but not the 4runner. You won't benefit anything daily driving, but they will add protection from shock and frame damage. If you add aftermarket bump stops that attatch to the bump brackets you will add comfort when...
  6. Front & Rear Bumpstops Upgrade (brackets from LC250 / GX550 are direct bolt-on)

Thanks for confirming the 4runner has the same mounting points as the LC250, I asked this in another thread and didn't get any help. https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/front-bump-stop-mounts.5564/ Anyway I made my own brackets to clear the oem fox shocks..
  7. 4runner vs Land Cruiser vs GX. I’m changing my mind daily!

Sounds like you need the LX700h :D
  8. Spare Removed...Lift Mechanism??

I would assume the spare helps out a lot in a rear end collision.
  9. Front End Alignment

The alignment should be exactly the same as the 250 Land Cruiser. Here is my alignment sheet after raising the front up 1.5" using TRD Pro suspension parts from the 4runner.
  10. TRD Pro Lift / Level Strut Mount Reclocking

Not sure if you have done this yet, but there is an arrow on the upper strut mount. The arrow should point to the outside of the vehicle. The QS3 adjustment knob should be facing towards the vehicle.
  11. 4runner vs Land Cruiser vs GX. I’m changing my mind daily!

They are pretty cool looking. Mechanically they are very similar to the 4runner. I personally feel like the LC is underpowered on the highway compared to the GX. Other than that, the LC and GX are great.
  12. Trailhunter Tires/Wheels on SR5

The TH wheels will stick out much farther than your stock setup. You will need to code the TH TPMS to your 4runner, or pull your TPMS out of the SR5 and install into the TH wheels.
  13. What is this thing in the rear drivers side wheel well?

At this time, The GX550 Overtrail is the only Toyota/Lexus model in the USA that has EKDSS. The GX is on pretty much the same chassis as the 4runner. Maybe the 4runner will get a version with EKDSS later on?
  14. What is this thing in the rear drivers side wheel well?

Looks like you are correct. EKDSS lines attached to that point on my GX550 OT.
  15. What is this thing in the rear drivers side wheel well?

The sway bar disconnect is only on the front axle on models that come with it.
  16. DAC/Crawl control

Crawl is an even more aggressive form of MTS. It can get you through some very tough situations, almost as good as front and rear lockers. Crawl is actually better than dual lockers in certain situations.
  17. SXTH Element Prototype Rear Recovery Point (4runner 6th Gen) – Feedback Wanted

Doing a straight pull from the back looks fine. That has a real long lever arm, what would happen if the pull was from the side or dropping off a ledge and the recovery point takes the full force of the drop? Bent recovery point or bent frame?
  18. Loose UCA bolts (proper torque spec = 140ft/lbs)

Sine you changed the ride height with the pre-load coller, you actually should loosen the UCA bolts and retorque at the new ride height. You should do the same for the LCA and lower shock bolt. The sway bar bolt on the LCA might need this done too.
