Here's what suppose to come on the Pro, which did on mine, hard to believe a dealer would sell a new vehicle with E rated tires. Might want to recheck.

TRD Pro
18" inch flat black finished alloy wheels (18x7.5" +20mm offset)
33" Inch Toyo Open Country A/T III All-Terrain tires (265/70R18)

which is a SL rated tire.

.
What ever. You WIN

Thanks everyone. :)

Good news is that I fixed the digital key issue by deleting the app and reinstalling it, so at least that’s one thing off the list.
Congrats on the TRD Pro. I have the 25 and I have the same issue with the app. I just switched over to the Lexus app and 10x better.

I have a ORP, not a Pro, but after 14K miles its still rattle free. Maybe I'm just lucky. Great looking truck tho.
Also have an ORP -- the only rattle I get is something around the center console when I hit a very hard bump -- and I suspect this is just something that's in my console rather than the console itself. I even have the full CaliRaised interior molle panels and top shelf and they don't rattle at all. The gear I have strapped to them, on the other hand, I spent weeks applying sticky foam to all the buttons and things to get them rattle free. Occasionally one will still pop up out of nowhere, but that's to be expected with a bunch of random tools and gear hanging around. Mostly I just hear the pouches I have rustling against each other over bumps, but that I can deal with.

The one noise issue I do have is the wiper motors -- they have an absurdly loud whine that's very noticeable at lower speeds in drizzly rain. Going to mention this at my next service appointment.

Quick q, although I suspect I already know the answer to this.

Is there a way to set ‘hold’ as default? This is the only vehicle I’ve ever owned/rented/driven with this feature that doesn’t retain the way you left it when you shut the car off.

Not a huge deal, it’s just that my last car had it and I almost hit the car in front of me at a red light the first time I drove this one assuming that hold was still on from when I turned the car off. :)

You're talking about the brake hold? If so I'm interested as well as I've never used this function

It's "wonderful". When starting from a stop, it feels like the car is glued to the ground, then breaks loose all of a sudden.

toyota does not have a passive system for brake hold. toyota expects you to be a driver. (the vehicle has enough nannies as it is that i have to turn off)

the brake hold system is mostly for those instances where you are on an incline so when you take off you dont roll backwards between the time you release the brakes to hitting the gas

and its not fool proof, if the incline is too steep it may not hold.

Unless you’re driving up Mount Everest and decide to pause to admire the view, brake hold isn’t going to be much help in a vehicle with automatic transmission as it will not roll backwards on a hill. Even if the incline were severe enough to overcome the transmission creep you still wouldn’t need it as you don’t need to time the release of a clutch … you simply move your foot over and go, or left foot brake and hit the accelerator if you are driving up said Everest.

Brake hold is a feature to keep the car in places at traffic lights, drive throughs, and whatnot so you don’t have to keep your foot pressed on the brake to keep the car still. Teslas (and other electric cars) for example do this automatically, most default to your last setting, others like MB you have to hit the brake twice when the car is stopped in D. It’s not even technically a nannie, it’s a standard convenience feature across most brands.

And it doesn’t have anything about being expected to be a ‘driver’, the feature is there, they’re just implementing differently than other brands and I was just curious if it were possible to default it to on. It really didn’t merit this level of discourse with this many words, nor an extrapolation of Toyota’s philosophy an automotive purism. :)

Hi Soulsea. Welcome to the club! I have a black 2025 Pro I purchased in April of last year and have about 9,700 miles on it. As I am sure you’ve seen in the forums, be careful of that black paint! It scratches and swirls just by looking at it. I went ahead and did a full Xpel Stealth PPF and love it. Such a peace of mind of not having to worry about any scratches and most road debris.

- Exhaust Drone: As a few of the other great members said, you can turn off the artificial pumped in noise. I just had that done yesterday and it has made such a difference. I left the ANC on, as that helps with road and wind noise.

- Interior Rattles: I hear ya on this one. When I brought it in for the 10,000 mile oil change, I had them fix the “buzz/rattle” in the driver’s side door, which you can really hear when the bass is up. I also had a rattle around the middle of the sunroof, which was fixed as well. Here is what the problem is/was, wiring harnesses. The harnesses are not coming undone, they are just not secured well from the factory, so they are coming loose from their mounting points. Service was able to re-adhere them and the rattles/buzzing is gone! So much quieter!

- Vibration: As a few of the other members have said, the hood is the hood. You get moving and with the airflow, vibration from the road, they thing flutters like crazy. Just wait until you drive it in the rain and experience all the different ways the water flys off it in different speeds. It seems it just is the way it is. I haven’t experience any other vibration issues with mine, but if you do a search, it seems a few other members have. I think they may have gotten it resolved getting the wheels re-aligned and making sure the PSI is correct. The OEM Toyos are soft and shouldn’t be contributing…

Also, I just got the OTT tune yesterday and will do a full review on it in a few days and after a 1,000 mile road trip I’m taking, but what I can say is damn… Normal mode is like sport and sport is like a rocket ship. The difference is pretty incredible!

Enjoy the new rig and happy driving! - Zach
Just curious on the interior rattle fix! I keep hearing interior rattling noise whenever the vehicle is running over uneven roads while turning. Hard to tell where it is coming from, just try root out all the possibilities. Do you know which wire harness the dealer fixed?

Yeah, there's something inside the center console that rattles/buzzes at a high frequency when I go over certain bumps or terrain or when the engine RPM is exactly right. Really the only rattle/creak mine makes. Haven't been able to isolate it yet.

That was how mine was as well! The one in the door that rattled/buzzed when the bass was up high or over rough road, was under the window, drivers side. They said the removed the panel under the window, as well as the window itself, too, put some foam in to stop the wiring harness for moving.

The other rattle was coming from the driver side of the sunroof halfway back to the rear seat. They removed some of the headliner and re-affixed the wiring harness in there as well. Hope that helps!
