New owner of a 2026 SR5. Regarding my first steps:

1. Rock Sliders- OEM or after market? If After market what do you guys prefer?
2. What are some good (all purpose but still all terrain) tire choices that work well with the stock 17 inch rims? Do I need to change the rims to get quality tires to work well?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Rock sliders are relative to the difficulty of trails you intend to ride. If youre not pushing the limits and or don't frequently come into contact with larger rocks, tree/tree sumps, you should be fine with OEM. Aftermarket are heavier duty. That tracks for just about any armor upgrade.

The 17-in wheels will be fine with any A/T's. I use mine with M/T's and haven't had an issue, just wouldn't air down past 15 to be on the safer side.

OEM rim on the SR5 is only 7 inches wide. The max recommended tire size is 245.

What I am seeing is the Falken Wildpeak AT4 265/70/17 works on 6.5inch wide rims . So at a minimum you can get 265s from this brand and many others on the SR5 rims.

Toyota SET installs 265/65R17 nitto ridge grapplers as a port option so I believe 265s are fine. I have the above, and would have preferred 265/70r17 if I could have picked myself. Looks better, more side wall and a more accurate spedo.

That is the stock size that comes on the SR5.
If I were you I’d move to the 275 or 285 tires with a 17inch wheel.
