Why is everyone allergic to the stock 18 TRD OR/ORP wheels?

It seems that people cannot swap these wheels quick enough for the TRD Pro or aftermarket wheels.

Why no love for the stock TRD OR/ORP wheels?

The machined silver rings on the wheels look out of place on an off-road utility rig. I tolerate them on mine, because the aluminium color roughly matches the Cutting Edge paint of the vehicle, so the rings don't not stand out as much. I am not wild about them, though. On a non-Cutting Edge rig they are the only silvery parts of the vehicle and I cringe when I see them. I don't particularly like the optional black wheels either - too many thin segments. Busy and dinky looking. IMO, the best looking wheels are on the SR5.

Trailhunter has the best wheel set.

But yeah, the silver ring around the stock black TRD wheels is a vibe killer.

I think they're fine wheels, but not great ones.

Ugly.... I havn't wanted to pony up the money on a different set yet... thought about powder coating them since the design itself isn't bad, just the colors. A solid bronze, grey, black would have looked tougher

Another vote for ugly with that silver fake bead lock look. The all black ones from the TRD Pro or alternate stock wheels look so much better. I was so happy my ORP came from the dealer with those and not the two tone stock ones, it was going to be the first thing I replaced otherwise.

I would like my ORP rims better if they were all black!! I’m not digging the two tone!!

Mine came with the Pro wheels but the spare was still the ORP rim. Had to buy another one and swap. Haven't had any interest on Marketplace getting rid of the original
