Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new ride. It looks awesome. Gotta tint those windows to complete the look on a black 4Runner.

Welcome, love the simplicity!

I’ve been curious about these tires (and this size). What was your decision process? Keep us posted on how you like them!

Love the look. Just to confirm, those are TRD Wheels? (not pro) with a 45mm offset vs the 20mm offset of the pros. I am looking to do something exactly like this. Have you had enough time with the tires to determine how gas mileage isaffected?

Have really enjoyed the tires thus far, albeit they have only been driven on pavement until the snow comes. Decided on this tire and size for a few reasons: 1) fantastic reviews for snow traction and performance 2) strong reviews for being quiet 3) the size was perfect because I wanted a little bigger wheel to fill the wheel well after the lift, but didn’t want something that looked like a heavy mod. Attached is a pic pre lift and original tires if it helps anyone

I am too much of a rookie to know the correct answer. I don’t want to miss-guide you. These are the wheels you can select when building a 4Runner on the website. I didn’t like the silver accent on the TRD ORP stock wheels, so wanted the all black wheels. They have not widened the stance of the vehicle from what I can tell. Gas mileage has not changed in any noticeable way. I commute 25 mins on highways to work and my mileage has always been around 18-19 combined.

Cool. Thanks. I have the same wheels and can confirm they are 45mm offset TRD Wheels. I love the look of the wheels. Enjoy your truck!

I have been looking at those tires too in 295/70/18 size. Not only are the tire reviews and AT tire shoot outs putting this at the top they are also somehow weighing a LOT less especially for an E rated tire. 57 lbs!

Key Specifications
    • Tire Size: LT295/70R18 (Metric LT-metric size)
    • Service Description: 129/126R (or 129R)
    • Load Index: 129 (Single tire max load capacity: 4,080 lbs)
    • Load Range / Ply Rating: Range E (10-Ply equivalent)
    • Speed Rating: R (Up to 106 mph / 170 km/h)
    • Max Inflation Pressure: 80 PSI
    • Overall Diameter: 34.2 to 34.3 inches
    • Section Width: 11.7 inches
    • Tread Width: 10.3 inches
    • Tread Depth: 14/32"
    • Tire Weight: 57 lbs
    • Approved Rim Width Range: 7.5 to 10 inches
    • Revs Per Mile: 605

I went with the pro 20 mm offset wheels. They do give you about 1.5 inches more bump out and look great. The difference is not so much that tires stick way out past fender flares. Also switched to the pro mud flaps. For tires I picked 265/70R18 Falken Wildpeak AT4W's.
