Thanks for this post! I like it nice and simple! Using the existing wiring and easily accessible is amazing! I can't wait to install!

Just wondering where everyone put the rear camera at. I ended up putting the camera on the rubber part of the window

This is my second installation of the Fitcamx for the 4Runner. I had previously been helping with testing their prototypes. This time I asked to receive the additional rear camera. Routing the cable is simple honestly. They give you more than enough, however there isn't a lot of spots to actually mount the camera in the back. And I didn't want to obstruct the window or run the cable through the trunk.

Decided to design a 3D printed plate that can be mounted to the roof liner pin above the trunk. With some velcro on the other side, the plate itself does not move at all once secured back through with the pin. I also designed the plate to align itself with the camera to have it centered perfectly. I have a full view of the back as the camera is extremely wide.

Love this, would you mind sending the file or the measurements you came up with?

Larger storage front camera is currently out of stock.

Will wait to purchase once available.

Thanks for the Sienna Wire connection to enable park mode!

Looking forward to install!
Just buy a memory card from Amazon much cheaper and FITCAMX uses LEXAR memory cards anyway!

Is a memory card required ?

Sorry, never installed a dash cam before
FitCamX arrived, along with the Sienna cable

And what is that included little USB thing for?

The USB thing is a USB Card reader, you can put the SD card into it and load it to a computer or any other device that connects to USB.

one other question, @Van Solo might be able to answer:

how easy is it to pull down the overhead console? I have never done this before, and i do not want to break any clips. as you suggested, it is simply a hard tug? two hands or one? any technique?

my FITCAMX arrived, and ready to install....! just dont want to break anything

******
Update - read other posts in this forum. Pulled really hard, popped it off and installed dash cam in a minute.

Same question. I just received mine today but will wait until I look through the step by step again.
I want to do things right and not break anything either.
I only do installs I'm comfortable with. Looks simple enough until you get into it. lol.
Sometimes over thinking things make it a bit more difficult:.

@Van Solo , while looking through your pics tutorial, noticed that you had an aftermarket rearview mirror.
Does it get in the way of the buttons under the factory mirror?
if not, can you share a link of the aftermarket mirror you purchased? I would like to do the same and get a better view. Been looking into Broadway mirrors. I've had them in all my cars but they were all regular oem motors with no smarts.
Thanks for the tutorial. It's super helpful,

it does not, however it was brought back from the Philippines so no link to share.
