Travel Texas-Florida l-10 often. Less than a 1000 miles on new Limited on I-10 in Mississippi boom 12” crack from truck ahead of me.
Heading to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida i sent claim to SafeLite and in 10 minutes they said it would be a few days and bring into Fort Walton Beach for replacement.
Then this morning they contacted me saying it will be at least 10 weeks to get a new OEM windshield.
I contacted my Toyota store in Texas and they looked and found two. In doing this i contacted my insurance company to be sure no problem taking 4Runner there and found i had dropped my $250 deductible on glass to $1000. So obviously no problem having Toyota fix it.
Reason for this is if happens to you and Safelite tells you 10 weeks check with your Toyota Store.
I think Safelite is a great company and use the crap out of its service but this one time it didn’t work out.
