Been hitting some trails in Colorado this week and just noticed this thing in the drivers side rear wheel well in front of the tire. Looks like something is supposed to be bolted to it but nothings there. Just making sure I didn’t break something ha

hmmm don't have access to mine at the moment... maybe it's an attachment point to bolt it down when crossing the ocean? Not actually sure how cars ship.

Maybe it's a bracket for an option that you don't have?

The sway bar disconnect is only on the front axle on models that come with it.

Looks like mine has a nut welded to the back of it so something get's mounted to it. No idea what it's for.

Good place to bolt a trinket?
Could it be for TNGA ones that have the KDSS ?

they actually use the frame tie downs for that (or as we call them recovery points.)

Whats the EKDSS do for my truck?
At this time, The GX550 Overtrail is the only Toyota/Lexus model in the USA that has EKDSS.

The GX is on pretty much the same chassis as the 4runner.

Maybe the 4runner will get a version with EKDSS later on?

yeah thats not happening. put an exclusive lexus feature on a toyota.

you do realized toyota pulled the v8 4R so they could make it exclusive to the lexus gx. the v8 4R was killing lexus gx sales since people didnt need to buy a lexus for a v8, i was one of those people.

why the hell would i spend 10k more for a v8 on a vehicle that the 4R could do the same or better
