So.. after MUCH deliberation. I ultimately went with Cutting Edge!

It really does look better in person than your standard silver color, I love the contrast of the black accents and fender flares! It definitely is more stunning than I expected.

Plus, this dealer offered a interest rate at a full point lower than the dealer with the Underground, so that helped..

I’m sure I would have been happy with the underground also, but all of the above reasons plus the fact that silver is easier to maintain longterm led me to my decision.

Next up.. front tint and a set of KO3’s!

Def cutting edge - not even close. Cutting edge looks way better than the standard boring silver found on most cars, there's something different about it. I was torn between cutting edge and heritage blue and honestly wish I went cutting edge
Agree 100%, this silver is different than the very common silvers I see all day every day. As someone else noted, silver is very popular or common. This silver is definitely different and eye catching.

Good choice going with Cutting Edge.

My 2014 5th gen was silver (same as cutting edge) and I barely washed it over the course of 240k+. It had daily dog slobber, scrapes all over from trails and yet you really couldn't see them unless the light hit it just right. Paint still looked almost new when I traded it in (don't look too closely, ha).

On my 6th gen, I went with black because it was that or cutting edge in terms of availability in march. I wanted to switch it up. Sadly, the new Toyota paint is super soft and the black shows everything! Underground will be the same.

I'm still stoked on the black paint just because it's something different, but if you value low maintenance and the ability to use drive through car washes, cutting edge is the way to go. You gotta handwash black and underground to prevent visible swirls, scratches, etc.

I had black on my 3rd gen 4runner and dog slobber from window surfing etched into the clear coat. The darker colors require more routine cleaning.

as you get older, the silver becomes more beneficial. as i got older i could care less about spending hours washing cleaning by hand. i rather pay a car wash and detailer to do that.

body no longer can do that work anymore.

I was about to buy the Underground until I saw the Cutting Edge with black TRD Pro wheels combo.

Good looking 4Runner. Out of curiosity, Do the tires that come with the 4Runner Off Road Premium fit on the TRD Pro Wheels that you are running?

. Yes, I left the Michelin tires on that come with the Hybrid ORP model. Most of my miles are highway so I don't need anything more.

Were there any issues with the difference in offset? The fender flares are wider on the TRD Pro. Do the tires extend beyond the fenders?
