Honestly I hope I never have to find out. I do, however, intend on holding onto this one for a long time so maybe I'll resurrect this thread in 10-15 years!
Check out this vid here:
Around 6:20 he talks about if the 6th gen has the alternator it'll be able to function if the hybrid system is not operation.
Do I know for sure? Nope.. not really sure how to test it out, but if it's accurate, that would be pretty awesome for long term use without...
Just a quick note regarding people who plan on keeping their 4runner around for 10+ years. CarCareNut mentioned that the great thing about Hybrid is that if the battery ever completely died, it would still run as a non-hybrid.
So in other words for people who say they don't want to have to buy...
Sadly it was empty and aluminum lol I would guess about 1500-2000 lbs empty. It's a 7x16 trailer.

1) Averaging about 75 mph on the Interstate
2) Probably had a bit of an angled headwind
3) Trailer is a bit taller so it is a big sail
So I'm sure you'd be better...
If anyone ends up installing this, i'd love to hear impressions. After towing a 16 ft cargo trailer along I90 at about 6 MPG I would love to look at something like this.

Pretty happy with the report though, because it's also a big vehicle powered...
Same. Had to drive home 500 miles on the Interstate after picking it up. Didn't use cruise control, also manually shifted up and down to help vary the rpms without having to modulate too much via pedal as well.
Not sure if it's specific to underground but more-so darker paint. On the drive home from the dealer, I got two small chips down to bare metal. I repaired with Dr. color chip so that helped and will be putting clear paint protection film on the front to hopefully help.
It's my first Toyota and...
