I just ordered these and they showed up this morning. I was so excited to put them on and then I realized they sell these in singles lol.

Is something wrong with my 4Runner or what, haha? I've been running the same width tires (285/55R20) but am nowhere close to even 19 MPG driving as conservatively as possible. I even went with tires that have the lowest rolling resistance possible in that width - Michelin LTX AT2

Be careful, that specific tire is too wide for that wheel according to the Falken website. I considered those last week, but they call for a 7.5 inch wide wheel and the stock sr5 wheel is 7 inches wide.

Any reason for the toyo oc at3 over the falken at4? I have seen a few threads discussing but I feel like it comes down to personal preference.

I ran the falkens on my 5th gen 4R but never could balance out right. Then when to the BFG K02’s and they were better than the falkens. I’m running the Toyo Open Country AT3 on my wife’s TRD Offroad RAV4 and they are quiet and smooth rolling. No issues with balancing. And they are lighter than the Falkens. Falkens are 58 lbs vs Toyo at 51 lbs.

One consideration is your use case. Those are LT tires, great if you’re planning on rock-crawling or cactus-dodging off road and/or loading a roof-top tent or heavier towing. The penalty is higher $$, worse mpg, stiffer ride on the road, more wear on steering/suspension.

Replaced the factory Geolander 245/70/17 with Falken Wildpeak 285/70/17 A/T4W.

No lift and no rub at all on the stock rim. I can feel the weight of the tire at first drive but seems fine after taking a few short drives. Tires seem as quiet as the factory ones that they replaced. So far very happy with the look and stance of the SR5. Also upgraded to the TRD center caps.
Will post an update in a few days.

Still happy ? Just picked up my ride last week thinking about getting these tires put on this week.

I have the same tire in 265/70/17 on mine. I wanted the 285 bit didn’t want to change wheels. The stock sr5 17s are nice.

I just ordered the same size! Do you have a pic of them on?
