  1. Firestone Coil-Rites Installed on SR5

Pic one is an option. There’s two pre-drilled holes on either side of hitch. Pic two is my set up, left side shown
  2. Firestone Coil-Rites Installed on SR5

Great! I’d say the ride is factory at 5 psi. Keep in mind I have a 75 lb bike rack attached 95% of the time. Re-inflation, the left bag almost never needs a top off, while the right side I check every couple weeks, and it usually needs a few psi. They really work for leveling and reducing bottom...
  3. Missing cross member bar in the ARB 3/4 roof rack

It does clear. I think it’s a GPS antenna
  4. Deciding on full rack or 3/4 roof rack

I’m liking the factory 3/4 rack. The ARB accessories and hardware pieces are pricey though. That said they do the job. I need to get a propane tank holder and Jerry can or Rotopax holder as well. Those will be $$. Wind noise is minimal and I think it looks great (I also have the Cutting Edge...
  5. SR5 not starting right away

This might not apply to your experience, but I’ve noted that sometimes I have to press the brake pedal a bit harder than I think to get it to start. If I haven’t depressed the pedal enough it won’t start.
  6. Wheel/Tire Take-Offs For Sale at St. George Dealer

Saw these today at Stephen Wade Toyota in St. George. In case anyone’s interested.
  7. Dead Simple Mods & Accessories

Can you post pics? I’m interested in this mod. Whole interior of the truck feels dark.
  8. Rear bottoming out over speed bumps?

I ended up adding air bags to the shocks as I was bottoming out over ā€˜wavy’ roads either camping gear and bikes on a hitch rack. Huge help and unloaded ride is unaffected.
  9. Cruise Control and Vehicle/Meter Settings Stopped Working

Anyone had this experience? Took a rest stop on my drive home from an overnight trip. Resumed drive, but couldn’t activate cruise control. I could select the mode (std or assist), but couldn’t activate it or set a speed. Also, the menu items under Vehicle Settings and Meter Settings were grayed...
  10. Seat Jackers Review - Change seat angle to improve long distance comfort

I’m 5’ 10ā€ and run the seat in its lowest position. I don’t have trouble hitting the steering wheel. Might be worth trying.
  11. Seat Jackers Review - Change seat angle to improve long distance comfort

You may not be familiar with a product called Seat Jackers. They were made popular by owners of Tacomas and 4Runners of previous generations because I guess that, particularly the Tacoma, were notorious for having uncomfortable seating positions. And if you have a lower trim, like my, 6th Gen...
  12. Replacing fabric / cloth seat with premium seats?

I installed Seat Jackers and aftermarket seat covers with built-in lumbar padding. Both helped a lot. Seat covers are Coverland or EKR.
  13. Banks Power High Flow Ram Air Intake

Looks interesting. They only list compatibility with the ā€˜24 Tacoma. I assume that will be updated at some point.
  14. Random Daily Photos of the Day Thread - Post Your 4Runner Pics! šŸ“ø

Tried to capture the Vermillion Cliffs at Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River. If you’re passing through the North Rim of the Grand Canyon area, be sure and stop by Jacob Inn and spend some money on gas, food or gifts. They’ve been decimated by the loss of tourist business.
  15. Real World MPG by Owners (gas non-hybrid 4Runner) - Post Yours ā›½ļø

I seem to be steady at indicated 19.5-19.8 with a 60/40 mix of freeway to surface streets. I have a bike hitch rack and 3/4 roof rack on the truck full time, and 265/70/17 WPs. I run it on Eco unless it’s hilly or I’m hauling bikes and gear, then Normal or Tow/Haul.
  16. Taking a Deeper Look at Transmission Overheating in 4Hi

I drove up a steep FS road today. About 20 minute climb. Tire size 265/70/17. Slow going at times. In 4H. 150 lbs. cargo. 60 degrees F out. I watched the trans temp gauge start to climb pretty quickly. Got to about 3/4, then I switched to manual and kept it in 2. 4 Lo was way too slow for the...
