Pirelli Scorpion XTM A/T — 275/70R18

Really happy with how the 275s fill out the wheel wells and change the stance.

The rear shock skid is a bit tricky to install since it requires bolts from both sides. Very little room without removing the wheel and that internal bolt bracket is a bear to hold in place. If you are comfortable removing the LCA then you should not have any issues with the those skids.

If you do decide to do the transfer case skid from RCI you may have problems with the stock fuel tank skid since there is a support bracket that sits right in front of the fuel tank and the skid. I had already removed it when I installed the transfer case skid and then realized that it would be nearly impossible to re-install the stock fuel plate skid. Pretty sure that RCI did not take the extra race of the stock fuel tank skid. If you are not doing an RCI transfer case skid then I don't think it should be an issue but keep it in mind.

Also keep in mind that if you are using Westcott rock sliders it may be tricky to install the RCI fuel tank skid.

Ordered Rear Shock Skid, Front/Rear Lower Link Skid, A-Arm Skids. That ought to give me some weekend projects for the near future - but I know I need the protection so it’s worth it. Got fridge slide and the drawer both finally installed. Still kind of debating on getting a seat delete or just remove it as needed. I really think I can make it work just folding seat out the way or leaving them up.

Installed Revel catback exhaust. Revel is made by Tanabe Japan, which is popular in the JDM world. Full stainless steel, TIG welded, 3" pipes with 4" tip. It sounds amazing! Very deep, humble but aggressive. No drone on highway, just deep growl.

Are there spacers behind the wheels? Seems more aggressive poke compared to other folks with same wheels. Could be camera angle too.

Pro wheels have more offset, the reason they don't have more poke on the Pro is because of the wider fender flares.

I thought about that when I got the main skid plates. The engine, transmission, transfer case can take a huge hit before you are disabled but the rear shocks and the LCAs are a very weak point that could leave you pretty much stuck. I mean they look delicate in comparison to the other protected areas.

My previous weight was in middle of March when I had just done the first half of the hitch swing out and 35" tires and that came in at 5420lbs. Since then I have added the second half of the swing out hitch carrier (w/ 2 jerry cans), rock sliders, full length roof rack, and the full skid package. This should be interesting. Will post it here and on the weight thread.

Got the fronts tinted to match the rears and did some exploring

Installed a BantamX, Blaze Off-Road battery mount, SDHQ Battery Terminals, and a fuse mount I designed. I have hydraulic hood props so the mount over the brake system wouldn't work.

Finally found time and some decent afternoon weather to replace the silver rear valance on my Limited. Swapped in the gloss black from the Platinum (from a Toyota holiday parts sale).
I've never taken anything this expensive apart without it being broken first, definitely a little pucker factor taking the entire rear off and making sure not to damage it.
Overall very happy with the result, now to move onto the front valance once I decide what to do with the grill. I like the light-up dark chrome Toyota logo, but not a fan of the bright chrome wings on either side on the Limited. So far my Toyota dealer has not found the part number for the dark chrome wings on either side of the logo from the Platinum. If anyone has a number (or other grill options using the light-up logo), it would be much appreciated.
