Weird it say 265/70r18 is 2.7 lift. Curious how high the front and rear end are based on wheel wells. Is it's really over 2.5 or is part of that because stock tires are already higher by that amount.
Very unscientific measurements of mine are 23.5" front, 23" rear. From fender flare to center of wheel

Picked up mine this afternoon.

Local dealer did the labor for $1275+tax.

They matched the alignment specs to a TRD PRO, per the work sheet.

Tracks straight and true, but also the suspension is a good bit better than stock OR in my opinion.
Much more forgiving on potholes and expansion joints, probably overall a 30%+ improvement from stock.

I'm going into the mountains this weekend, so will put it through it's paces.

Trailhunter wheels + 275/70-18 (33.4") tires.

Everyone has their own business models, and to each their own strategy.
I can only speak for Ed Martin Toyota, and we don't really want to sell these online for several reasons.
1) the box is very large and heavy (i.e. very expensive to ship and high probability of damage).
2) if a DYI'r damages an item during install, then we would have to eat the parts to take care of the customer and that's not a viable business model selling with no/little profit margin.
3) OEM warranty is only valid if installed by the dealer
4) we want the labor business, and in all fairness our labor price is discounted to $990 vs most dealers north of $2000

I hope that make sense.

Damn it’s not on the 20% off
not every dealership participates in the holiday discount programs. Shop around.

On a stock ORP? That would line up with the quoted lift on this kit of 2.5” front 1.5” rear.

Yeah that's a stock ORP.

That's more like 3 and 2" . Tires could account for a lil bit of that. It's close enough especially when they calling it's 2.7 on the stock tire size.

Yeah like I said mine wasn’t scientific or precision measurement, just me quickly looking with a tape measure. And I would definitely assume .5” margin of error on any suspension kit.

Am I correct that this OEM suspension lift is not made for the TRD PRO, correct?
I’m pretty sure it will fit on any 6th gen 4runner. For the pro you’d want to get the hybrid version with stiffer springs

I though I read somewhere that even the hybrid version doesn’t work with the TRD PRO.

Hmm not sure why. Try putting in your VIN on a parts site and see if it’s compatible

I have a feeling the reason it’s not designed for pro or trailhunter is at a minimum it already has the UCA so y are buying something it already has. But I tested the tierod and it comes up as may not fit.
I cant think of any reason why it wouldn’t work.

Here's the adjustment table for ORP. Note that there's a different table for each trim based on original tire size.

Looks like total lift with my 285/70r17s is 2.8". I will say this looks and feels much higher than 2.5"...

“Tire inch up mode” column is very interesting… maybe this is how they can adjust for new tire diameters independent of this particular suspension upgrade?

In other threads it’s been implied there is no calibration possible for diameter changes…

Couple quick closer shots and a little driveway backout clip (peep my neighbor's heritage blue house) lol. Looks like the shop put a nice little booboo on one of my coils, so I ordered some red dobinsons coil paint to patch it up.

Got a chance to drive it some more and I gotta say it is night and day over the stock setup. It takes bumps at speed like a champ and no extra body roll that I could detect yet.

I was a little worried that my wife wouldn't like it bc she's 5'2" and we have our first baby one the way, but she just took it to run errands and came back with a grin on her face and said "I thought about just driving around a bit more because it rides so nice now". I think I will swap the OEM rock rails for some that have a step to help with her challenged height.

Last point I will make for now is that it finally feels like a 4runner should in my opinion. Rugged but not like a wrangler. Just high enough. Commanding stance and driving position. I think I can now finally part with my 5th gen to get her a mom mobile.

More pics after I give it a good wash this weekend.
