What'd you drive before your 6th Gen 4Runner?

I came from an 24 Acura Integra Type S. I started getting into more outdoor hobbies such as bike riding, dirt biking, and other things and I really couldn't do with the Type S or go down some of these service roads.

I also got some property in New Hampshire and really needed something to be able to get around up there a bit better. So I made the switch. I don't regret it at all.

Still driving the 2016 Crosstrek (5MT) and intend on keeping it as the daily driver. It's at 150k miles since buying new...and it still looks pretty darn close to new. Also have a 2015 370Z (6MT) and a 2017 Z900 as toys to lift the spirits as needed. The 4R is simply being added to the stable for traveling or the occasional towing need and will not receive any significant modification aside of tires (265 70 R17) and possibly a wider set of rims with a 25mm positive offset.

I was driving a 23 Honda Ridgeline until an old lady ran a stop sign and totaled it. I was a bit hesitant to go to a 4 cyl but I gotta say the 4R engine and transmission is way better than the Honda V6 and transmission. I do miss not have a truck a little bit but with the sliding rear window I've been able to bring home some 12' boards from the local lumber yard.

I drive a ''23 F350 Lariat Crew P/S, a '19 Ram CS 4500 Crew / Cummins and a '18 4Runner TRDPro. My Girl Friend had a '24 4Runner TRDORP that I traded yesterday for a '25. I also have a '25 Pro on order and anticipate deliver sometime in September. Girl Friend very happy with her new rig. Anyone having Take offs from a '25 Pro, send me a message please. I'm having difficulty warming up to the OE wheels on hers.

3rd gen 4runner!

'96, manual, 4wd, and everything (drive train) actually still works, the 4wd, front diff disconnect, etc. Engine runs great.

I miss it already, but the frame is too rusted, and it never got the recall, and they won't do the recall now, I tried. Apparently there was a window of time that I missed.

The bumpers and rockers are rusted all the way through too. And of course by now also a bunch of other smaller annoyances that cancels out the bunch of equivalent kinds of things I fixed up over the last few years. I haven't gotten rid of it yet but I don't really have the room or the energy to do the ground-up rebuild it would need. It looks like it's falling apart but it was on the road daily driver a month ago.

Got it in '16 and the previous owner had painted the whole thing in black bed-liner. I love it. But it's all flaking off now.

I almost got a '14 FJ instead of a '25 4R just because it's the latest model you can get in the US with a manual. (You can get a newer tacoma in manual but I don't want a pickup).

I had a 2011 Nissan Armada for almost 12 years. I loved it and really wanted to keep it forever, but we were fixing the AC almost every year for the last 4 years and it was really showing it's age. We had a 2004 4Runner in 2005 until 2009 and loved it. I loved the size of the Armada, but felt it was time to downsize. Pic is my Armada.

Went from a Dodge Durango to my first 4Runner.

I owned a Durango a generation before yours, thing was a complete lemon and dangerous. one time on a curvy rode is just shut off and no power steering.
