There are no noticeable differences in ride quality. The best mpg on the highway is 23 (eco mode), and 18 (sport mode) in the city. Road noise is negligible. I keep the tires inflated to 31-32 psi (cold) for a full contact patch.
Stock wheels fitted with MT Baja Boss ATs 265/70R17 and OEM crossbars installed:
City is 18-19.
Highway is 23 when keeping it at 70mph.
No complaints whatsoever!
I was able to install the Trailhunter skid plates without any issue. The bracket and bolts were already present on my SR5. I don't believe the mounting is any different for the TRD skid plate.
