Also page 228 of the manual explains how to turn Off the automatic parking brake mode which I found annoying and not necessary in most situations. Also a bit problematic in the winter.
Thanks for that info, I was looking for that.

Although I suppose freeze-up could be a problem with the parking brake, I never trust just the transmission to hold the vehicle in place. And, growing up in New England, my parents always used the parking brake and, as far as I know, never had a problem releasing it.

Towing: This vehicle cannot be flat-towed (that is, with all 4 wheels on the ground). In fact, it cannot be towed with any wheels on the ground, only on a full trailer. Pushing a few feet is one thing, but if you try towing it you will probably destroy something (otherwise they would say you could do it).

with the limited and platinum FT4WD you have to trailer it.

but also the PKSB will engage everytime you put the vehicle in park (unless you turn it off via the MID screen)

Using the parking brake is a good idea as it prevents the vehicle from rolling when you take your foot off the brake pedal and allowing all of the weight of the vehicle to roll and rest on the transmission parking pawl. Especially on a hill or incline.
