Sound deadening experience?

Anybody have experience with this? I am considering the doors and the wheel wells. I’ve heard it can make the doors too heavy and make the cabin feel strange. I have also heard that it really improves the sound system and takes the edge off of the AT tires.

I have done sound deadening on all four doors. The front doors make a huge difference. Rear doors a slight to no difference. I went with the SoundSkins precut kit and bought extra material for the inner part of the door. I also purchased wavy foam from them for the door trim. There is a thread somewhere where material is placed on the front door window runs because they can rattle at specific bass notes. I am waiting on the rear hatch kit to be released by SoundSkins this month to use up the remaining material I have.

The doors sound great when closing now and I would say the stock speakers sound louder and better due to the lower sound floor. I did this all myself and it was also fun to learn about the car and work with my hands.

Yeah NEVERMIND THE SEARCH tool at the bar up top...... We are all grown adults, put your bigboy pants and type in what you want to search for. It will show you all the threads mentioning "sound deadening".... its like magic
