Debating whether I should remove the "4RUNNER" badges in the rear for a cleaner look. Should be easy with a heatgun. Thoughts?

2nd image shows how it looks without the badge on a Wind Chill Pearl Sport Premium model.

imho

it cheapens it

looks like hatch was replaced and logo missing,
so I'd then be eyeballing for other damage on vehicle

I took off all the badges, I prefer the clean look. I've done it with my last 3 vehicles.

I took all the badges off as well (do this with all my vehicles), same day I got it. I like a clean look, and while not the main reason I did it, It’s easier to wash and apply any coatings or sealants. Very simple to do, took me 5 minutes. If you’re thinking of doing it, sooner is better than later as it only gets more difficult to do with time.

It's personal preference. Asking something like this on a forum like this is likened to asking someone the length of a string. In traffic, I seriously doubt anyone would notice whether the lettering was there or not. considering it obviously bugs you, why haven't you gotten your heat gun out and did the deed? The only person that will notice will be you. Merry Christmas

I saw in the FB group, someone added the Land Rover words ā€œdiscoveryā€ on the grille of their limited.
To each their own. Do what you want to do.

I live in snow country. I removed the lettering because it’s difficult to clean inside the lettering. Salt residue collects. Fine metal from break pads collect as well causing rust to form inside the lettering.
ā€˜it doesn’t take long for the rust to penetrate the paint. This happened on my last 4Runner.
I Measured the location and will reinstall them when I eventually trade it in.

I removed the 4Runner tramp stamp from mine. It looked way to busy back there with the trailhunter and the iforcemax badges.

Thanks for putting that into context, now it clearly makes sense considering I'm a Tramp Stamp Kind of guy. Nothing sexier than a woman with my name tattooed on her backside.. I'm sure my ex's boyfriend appreciates it too

To each their own but I prefer the letters myself.
