Are these drain holes and if so should these plugs be removed? I've never seen a door without any sort of drain or weep holes in the bottom so I'm thinking they should come out? O

That's a 1-way valve, it should drain normally from rain/car wash & prevent dirts or insects from getting in. If you hear water in your door, such as your area got hit by a hurricane, then remove it to quickly drain the water.

I'd pop it out & check it once it a while to clean the dirt if you frequently offroad.

There are 3 of the same size on the rear hatch. I have noticed water being trapped inside here twice since I’ve owned mine (8 months) and this was after some severe storms during the summer. After some googling and reading it seems as though they are placed mostly for transport and it was recommended I take them out to let water that gets in the drain out as soon as possible. So I have removed mine, I’m not gonna let water sit inside and start corroding everything but that’s what I decided to do.

Thanks. I read somewhere too that they are in there to prevent against dust?! Dust? Up here in the Northeast we're worried about water getting into everything and resting away before the loan is out! LOL I think I'm going to take mine out and spray fluid film up in there and make sure everything stays dry.

Just don't induce the drainage channels to clog by mucking them up with oil/wax that dirt particles will actually stick to! Then you've accomplished the opposite of what you intended.
