Question- there’s been back and forth on 33’s Specifically 285/70R17 AT4W tires rubbing and no rubs.

I plan to get RRW 17” RR2-S with -12 offset.

Kindly advise if this will rub on stock suspension?

A -12 offset is very aggressive.

I have 265/70R18 tires (32.6”). 285/70R17 tires are 32.7”, basically the same size.

My wheels are the TRD Pro +20 offset and have about a 1” poke. There was no rubbing on stock suspension on a TRD Off-road Premium.

I can’t say for sure, but I bet a -12 offset will rub.

Might wanna try: https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Thanks Gerardo, after more research I’m leaning towards 25mm offset

+25 should work just fine.

I'm not sure about your mudflaps; those are usually the first things you have to take off because they're so thick, but try it and see. There's a couple good aftermarket options now though.

I’m going through this process right now. I ordered some -12 offset wheels because I installed the Rough Country fender flares which are about 2” wider than SR5 stock fender flares and about .75~1” wider than TRD flares. The -12 offset looks like it will be perfectly flush with the new flares so rubbing on trails will probably be an issue with stock suspension. However, it may not be an issue for everyday driving. I’m not sure yet. I’ll be installing the Falken Wildpeak 275/65/r18’s (32.5”) this Saturday with stock suspension so I’ll let you know. After the install I’m going to an off road shop to see what they recommend. Either a 2” leveling kit or a 3”lift. We will see. I’ll include some pics of just the wheels mounted without the tires and update after the tires are installed. The last picture is looking up from the floor, you can barely see the flare hanging over.

I have the same RC flares with 17x8.5 +25 wheels on 285/70/17 AT4W, the fronts are flush but seems like the rear I could get away easily with a 0 offset. Can't wait to see how the -12 fit!
