Mine is going in this weekend. Been delayed due to weather here in Iowa. I will give it my review after install
If you remember, could you please do a before and after sound clip of start up and/or driving? It would be interesting to know exactly how the exhaust sound changes. If you remember. Otherwise, your impressions of that would be awesome.

I am also interested if you notice any differences driving with it initially and after the truck has some time to learn it. As in, does the truck like the downpipe or nah?

If you tune it to make better use of the new downpipe, could you also post your impressions of that?

You're a trailblazer with this one. Shine bright friend.

I would have thought that someone including OTT would have posted something by now

We have one on our 4GT. Haven't done any sound clips, but the install is straight forward. IT's not an extreme sound difference on a stock exhaust set up. Not any that I can hear from the cab anyways.

It's a great product though. Extremely well made.

Check it out here.

Worth the wait! I finally had my downpipe installed along with charge pipes and an intercooler from SXTH. While I haven’t even had the compensating tune, I can say this is the way this truck should drive from the factory. If they drove like this off the assembly line, it would significantly outsell everything else in its class. The responsiveness and power is absolutely amazing, especially in the 2,000-4,000 RPM range. I would say it’s louder on startup, but it settles down after idling for a minute. I will upload cold start comparisons tomorrow. Thereā€˜s a little more cabin noise, but it’s hardly noticeable with the radio on. I’m very happy overall with the rumble I am hearing, so if you like to hear that, you will be pleased. It’s probably insanely loud with aftermarket exhaust, so I will not be upgrading my exhaust anytime soon. It’s still too early to tell for certain, but it appeared to have improved MPG on my commute to and from work today. The next update for this beast will be the turbo inlet from SXTH and a Stage 2 tune from OTT. While it’s hard to believe it could get much better than this, an updated turbo will put the icing on the cake! It’s worth noting you will need a narrow wall O2 socket to remove and reinstall your O2 sensors.

Thank you for the review. What is the black coating on your downpipe? I would assume some sort of thermal coating, but i am not sure. Did you do this yourself? Did you have it professionally done somewhere?

I chose to have it ceramic coated and found a local guy in Columbia, SC to coat the outside. The upgrades were installed by a friend and neighbor of mine who has a lot of experience with turbocharged cars. I’d never trust myself to take all that apart and put it back together again despite the fact it’s incredibly easy for a lot of people! šŸ˜‚

Nice. The ceramic coating looks kinda cool. And hey, sometimes it makes more sense to get things done by a professional! No problem with that. Your truck sounds like it is a lot of fun. Nothing better than driving a slow car fast!
