No Bass in JBL Rear Subwoofer & Rear Door Speakers

I’ve tried plugging the phone into the USB on the side of the screen. How can one tell if it’s actually running media through the cable and not just staying on Bluetooth? When I go into the menus and select the phone as a media source, it shuts down CarPlay.

Same! Will any USB-C cable do the job? It sounds the same to me as when it's playing via Bluetooth, so I have my doubts it's actually running through the cable. And also for me, when I select phone as a media source, it kills CarPlay which means I lose Waze/Google maps!
