Any more road noise than the stock SR5 rim?

Hardly any additional noise with these tires. But I've only had them for the last 100 or so miles. I'm definitely happy with the upgrade and will not be substituting the OEM SR5 rims with an aftermarket option. What is noisy is the OEM rooftop crossbars. They will have to come off soon and only placed on when the need for an overhead compartment is called for.
Discount Tire had the tires inflated to 42 PSI. After brief research, I reduced the pressure to a cold 32. The tires feel more compliant at this pressure and not so hard. After driving for 30 minutes or so, the pressure would reach 35 to 36 PSI. We'll see how these perform in the snow this winter.

Looks nice ... IMO 265/70R17 tire size is what should have been on the SR5 from the factory versus the 245/70R17 tires. To me the 265's look proportionally correct for the 4Runner and properly fit the stock SR5 17" x 7" wheels.

Any issues with those tires and the 7" OEM rims? I keep reading comments that say you should not go much larger on that rim cause it can cause bulging and it's not safe? I too am looking at the same size but unable to get a concise answer from tire shops or tire rack,

No issues whatsoever. Quite honestly, I wouldn't go any larger than that on the stock rims. They do indicate a rim width range of 7-9 inches for these tires. I've no unusual handling characteristics to report and run them at 32 PSI cold.
I patiently await the snow and ice to see if they're just as good as the Michelin CrossClimate 2s I have on my Subaru.

Where are you reading these comments? What are they saying? I have been getting pretty straight forward information that everything is fine. This question has been addressed for you a couple of times in other threads I have been on and I have seen others including myself report satisfactory results.
Go to Wildpeak's website and look for the model and tire size you are interested in. It will show you the approved rim width range. The stock SR5 wheels are 7 inches. A quick search lead me to this https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/thr...izes-widths-brands-2025-4runner-6th-gen.1962/
If a tire shop isn't willing or competent enough to do this for you, find a new shop.
