Sort of, yeah.

10m-30m here and there so 30-60ft distance/spread.

Some difference is noted, given the Acceptable rating vs Poor.

Is that worth the $2,000 investment though....
Certainly not everyone's need but I got mine for $1420 plus tax during the 25% off sale so for me it was worth it
So much better than the stock ones. I love them!

So are they just plug and play? Do you need any extra wiring for the high/low beam since you said they are separate wires.

Yes, its plug and play, no additional wiring required. I updated the post so people don't get confuse on their install. Also, I added a link reference on how to remove the front bumper.

Installed Limited Headlights w/ 4Runner Badge (Etsy 😅) on the Hood

For anyone interested in doing this upgrade, it’s fairly simple. I highly recommend disconnecting the battery anytime you’re working with electrical components such as headlights or fog lights.

Part Number: 81070-35661 - Unit Assembly, Headlamp, B Left Hand
Part Number: 81140-35661 - Unit Assembly, Headlamp, B Right Hand

When removing the headlights, make sure to disconnect the two harnesses located on right passenger side of the headlight. (Be sure to connect them properly once you're finish, otherwise you'll unlock a can of worms; check engine lights, codes, etc. etc.)

Please refer to video: How to remove front bumper

The entire process takes roughly 1.5 hours from start to finish.

It is purely Plug and Play, no additional harness required for the installation.

Limited(Premium) headlights have three connectors total:
  • One connector for the DRL/turn signal
  • Two connectors for the low beam and high beam
  • One extra connector that is not used (I pointed this out with an arrow in the photo of the back of the headlight)

The headlights can be adjusted by using the headlight leveling control knob on the driver’s side.

Overall, a straightforward install and a great OEM+ style upgrade.

Does this swap let you have the amber DRL or it stay white?

I think it depends on which trim you source the lights from. I believe pro and trail hunter have amber DRL while the limited gets white.
That makes sense, does anyone know the part number for the TRD Pro headlights?
