I would like a softer place for my elbow. Any upgraded door panels available?

I love the utilitarian scheme of my SR5, but would also like the upper door panel to be a little more plush. I don’t mind the plastic dash top because I could buy a dashmat, and I am not resting my arm on it whilst driving. Does anyone offer a replacement door skin top?

Been waiting and wondering myself seeing how often it comes up on review videos.

Like you I was needing a comfortable armrest. I wanted to avoid the damage that my previous vehicle had on the plastic from wear and tear. I found this Primo Workz armrest that is actually a really cool idea and works great. It was a bit spendy but likely due to the rugged construction and the stainless steel it uses. Still need to add a patch or two for the extra horsepowers 😂

I have softex material. Is the plastic on the doors really though rough on the arm/elbow?

I get like 20 ads a day on instagram marketing this ledge like thing you can put in a 4Runner to put your arm on. Maybe it’s what Beedeviled posted.

It is haha! I’m not one to buy into those ads but this one actually turned out to be great.

No.

The reviews whined and whined about the plastic, I was thinking it would be awful.

After buying...I never think about it until I see these threads that talk about it.

I think it depends on the person, seating position, individuals size, etc. In general, the hard plastic on the upper door is a pain (literally) for some folk. I am able to work around it by moving my arm or resting on the lower, softer surface.

I saw that bag insert thing a while ago and just did not like the look of it. I would like something to attach but look OEM or at least not stand out so much.

IMHO - This is another area that Toyota cheated out on. I am not expecting full leather trim in the SR5 but, comfortable features.
