Full mileage from my trip from Central Texas to Carlsbad New Mexico area. 22:05 hours driving. 1125.9 miles, dash computer average is 18.0 MPG the entire trip. Including the off-road sections.

Quite a long stretch of that was on I-10 which is 80 speed limit. I was into the wind on the way there and back sadly. Decent dust storm leaving New Mexico that didn't let up until about half-way thru my section of I-10 on the way back. Still very windy the entire route home.
8/10 times no matter when or where I go road trip wise, long or short, it's against the wind...
The wind switches on the next day too sometimes!:LOL:

Just a reminder for everyone that puts on bigger tires, that not only throws off your speedometer, it throws of your odometer and fuel economy numbers. From 31.5" to 33" tires is a 5% difference on the speedometer and will throw the calculated fuel economy off by 5% as well. For those averaging 19mpg, that alone brings the calculated mpg down to 18mpg without factoring the weight/contact drop. Adding bigger tires will still hurt gas milage, but not as bad as it seem since you are travelling 5% further (for example) than your odometer says you are.

Your odometer thinks you went 60 miles but you actually went 63.

just hit 1000 KM on my rig this week, i am running bigger 275 Tires Falcon Wildpeaks, im averaging about 18.5 - 19 mpg right now, that being said its been winter still up where I am with -15C temps, so there has been a lot of warm up time and idle time. I suspect by summer ill see better numbers, not to mention break in will be done.

Trd pro (10k miles) hitting around 17-18 mpg right now with almost daily winter warm ups, mixed town and 75mph highway driving. Last summer /fall I was averaging 20-21
Same here. I was getting 21-23 last summer/fall when I first got my Pro, but since winter and very conservative driving, I’m managing 19.5 at best here in New England.

I fotgot when I made this post about winter mpg that I also had a big rooftop ski box on all year, I ended up staying between 17-19 all winter. Took the box off last week and it's over 20 again.

Either way I see the bike coming out to save on gas $ ....those prices are climbing quick.

, posting for fun and not for real data as I don't believe this test was conducted right. 50 miles is kind of short and the top off, apart from being bad form, skewed the results I think. Still, does show kind of what I've seen doing a tank on ECO and Normal, not much difference between the two.

a more aero profile getting better mpg is not unexpected...

I guess you didn't watch the video. They are not comparing the two against each other, they are comparing driving in normal mode versus eco for the individual vehicle itself. These are just the two vehicles they had in their fleet that had an eco mode, as stated in the video. I only posted it because the LC has the same engine we do, with the same drive modes.
