I have a question for current owners, specifically regarding the performance of the AC and heater. The temperatures in my area can fluctuate from -20 C to -40 C (-4 to -40 F) in winter and as hot as +90 F in summer. How well does the heater and AC work in the 6G?
Even though my 5G is 15 yrs. Old it was never very good at heating or cooling especially versus my wife’s RAV4 which will melt your face in winter and freeze your naughty bits in the summer.

I find it works great in summer and winter, especially if you're lucky enough to have the heated/vented seats. Those make a huge difference.

I have a Pro and the HVAC works really well the heated seats warm up so fast that after a few minutes, it’s actually too hot. The heated steering wheel is fantastic as well. I wouldn’t worry at all.

Thanks very much for the feedback, in the positive.
I have a Limited on order and just recently received ā€œnoticeā€ from the dealer that my vehicle has an eta of early February. If it arrives then, it will be 8 months from when I put my deposit down.

Heating works great and heats up pretty fast, if you operate A/C in Eco Mode it might not be optimal, use Normal Mode instead to improve performance of the A/C. Looks like in Eco Mode we don’t have full control over the A/C.

Good to know.
I have not driven in ECO mode since the first couple of months of ownership back in 2010 and likely might not again except for long highway trips, but I will remember this bit of information for sure.
thank you.

The heater appears to work well, but I gotta be honest...The heated seats and steering wheel leave a bit to be desired. The 5th Gen seat heaters were straight FIRE compared to these. The aftermarket seat heaters in my Tundra are also better than these. My wife's Murano's steering wheel also gets much hotter over a larger surface area than this wheel.

Not BAD really, but below par for sure.

On mine it doesn’t seem I like the fan blows with much force, even on high.

Wow. You and @Dead Horse should take your rigs in and get them checked out! Within two minutes, my ass is on fire with the butt warmers and same with the heated steering wheel. The HVAC system on mine is really fast to get to the temp, regardless of the outdoor temp. Sorry you guys are having problems.

I don't think there's anything wrong with mine. The seat and steering wheel heaters are just below what I've experienced in other vehicles (fifth gen 4Runner seats were probably the hottest keester-heaters I've ever felt lol).

My heater is fine, and it heats up quickly (might have something to do with the hybrid, I don't know if it functions differently in these than regular trucks). One of the few complaints I had with my Tundra, since day one, was a weak HVAC fan, and long warm up time. This is MUCH better in those regards. At least for the heat portion. I haven't used the AC yet.
