100% mine from the start. Once the build was started on June 5th, I received the new VIN and played the "refresh" game on the allocation list hoping it would not get delayed. Instead of being delayed, the delivery date kept getting moved forward 2-3 days at a time maybe once a week until I got a call from the dealership saying it was on the truck heading to them.

I think it was about 2 weeks after we put our deposit down that we were able to bring our TRD Offroad Premium home. Judging by the other comments, I think we got lucky. We were looking daily at dealers near us, one happen to have the exact one I wanted already shipped and 2 weeks away. I put the deposit down as soon as they said it was on the way, I didn't want to lose out on it.

Hey everyone ! I recently ordered a 4R platinum near the beginning of August. This is the first time I’ve ever bought a new car where I am waiting more than 2 weeks to receive. The dealer told me minimum 4-6 month wait and I just wanted to get some of your experiences of how long the wait was for you. I love the truck and I am excited for it which only makes the wait time worse so I am hoping to hear good news in the replies of how long people waited for theirs. I bought mine from a dealer in Mississauga ON Canada
I put my deposit down on May 3rd for a black on black TRD Pro and I picked it up on June 21st.

After I had enough pennies saved up to put down a substantial down payment, I started seriously shopping for the exact trim/color I wanted. This was in July. I was seeking an Underground TRD Pro. I pretty much stalked the Toyota configurator page daily. Starting in early July I would 'build' my ideal 4Runner and then 'View Inventory' within 500 miles on the Toyota website. I was borderline obsessive about it. I'd do a new 'build' at least once a day, usually multiple times a day.

On average there was only one or two available within 500 miles of me. I went to Tampa (from Orlando) with the intentions of buying (had cashier's check made out to the dealership), but Toyota of Tampa Bay had a $9,999 dollar market adjustment (on the TRD Pro) and wouldn't move off of it. So much for that. Also, tried to buy one in Palm Beach, but there was a $5,000 market adjustment on that one.

My persistence, okay maybe obsession, paid off. On August 2nd (in the am) I checked the 'View Inventory' expecting the normal one TRD Pro that was available with a $10,000 markup, BUT this time when I checked there were two Underground TRD Pro's available. There was now one available in a smaller dealership about 45 miles away from me. I had checked late the night before and it wasn't showing. So, I saw this allocation literally within hours of when it was allocated to this dealership.

I immediately called the dealership and this first person I talked to didn't even know it had been allocated to them. I had to have been the first person to contact them about this newly allocated TRD Pro. It was not already pre-sold, and this dealership wasn't asking for a crazy market adjustment. I bought the car (put down a $1,000 deposit) within one hour of contacting the dealership on August 2nd. I took delivery of it on August 21st. So, just a few weeks from finding out about it until it was in my garage.

Placed deposit for Limited mid-April 2025 and still waiting. My allotment is at the VPC and shows 'available' since August 19. Dealer says there is 'Hold' on it. No reason for hold or new ETA. Frustrating.

I went to my local dealership Brunswick,Ga. and said I’m interested in a Trd pro or a platinum. They called me a week later and said in 3 weeks on March 17 we have a TRD pro coming in and Sold. I went to the dealership five days later as I was out of town and gave them 500 bucks. Since then 3 people from here have purchased from the dealership after I told them what was sitting on the lot. Within 60 days they had another TRD Pro and i mentioned it on the forum and someone from here bought it within two days. This has happened three times earning me $300 from the dealership. lol

Sweet. That'll go towards your mods! Won't go too far, but every little bit helps!

put my deposit down in april 2024, i believe i was number 37 in line at the time. got word may 2025 that someone ahead of me in line backed out at the last minute on the color and trim level i was waiting for. Went in on a wednesday to fill out the paperwork and drove it home that saturday :)
11 months is a long wait! But I’m hoping that it’s because you ordered it before they came out so I’m hoping because I ordered it during the year it’s come out that it might be faster but I’ll cry if it’s nearly a year 😭

You’re one of the lucky few! I can’t wait to update on how long mine took 😂

I placed my deposit back in April (in Ontario) but cancelled it in June, as the prices were too high and the availability was unknown. It is usually not a good idea to purchase 1st year products anyways, even from a decent manufacturer like Toyota, but I'm glad that some of you don't care about that and are willing to share your experiences with the rest of us.

I got lucky. Exactly what I wanted (off-road, hybrid, nice color) was in the build process in late Feb. Put in a $1K deposit to make it mine, then picked up the car in late April, so 2-month wait. In retrospect, off-road premium might have been worth it due to AUX switches and alternator as backup. But still, I'm happy..

2025 Toyota 4Runner SR5
13 days. I was casually browsing for one and mine popped up in a Labor Day sale. I got a heritage blue SR5 with the 3rd row, which is exactly what I was looking for. I took my trade over and they gave me a great price for it and knocked $3,500 off the TSRP after a bit of haggling between them and another dealership locally. All in all, the stars just aligned for me. I took delivery on Friday. It's a great SUV. I like it a lot so far. The SR5 is pretty basic but I'll slowly upgrade it over time. My last new vehicle was a 2014 that I bought new so even the base SR5 has way more features than my last vehicle.
