If I were you, drive on your current ones a dn wait so you can get brand new pads right before your warranty is up.
Have you heard the noise ? Only 2500mi on it, I'll consider waiting though

Mine only squeals in reverse when the vehicle is cold. Called my closest dealer and was told my VIN was not listed for the TSB repair. Huh? I didn't want to leave my daily drive there for a couple days for them to figure it out.
They're on crack, lol. It covers all 2025 4Runners regardless of VIN. To be fair, the guy at the service dept said they were waiting on an official TSB and didn't see that it was out -so maybe they just didn't know and were covering.

Sad part is that this does not cover rotors. Pads are bedded to rotors which both mating surfaces are worn and mated together. Thats why when doing brakes the rotors are resurfaced or replaced. Other TSB's for other vehicles you change the rotor also. Brake feel and stopping power will be affected if the rotors are not resurfaced or replaced.

So to those who did get the TSB done. Did your brakes feel the same after? Did the noise go away?

dude mine told me I had to leave the car there for a couple of days so they can recreate the noise. If it doesn’t make the noise for them they won’t repair it.

Curious to see if anyone that had their 4Runner on the QC holds has had the break squeal issue? its only been about a month but I wonder if they worked on this issue as well as the chin spoiler. Mine was on the hold and no issues so far but I only have 1200 miles

I just hit mine with a grease gun and the noise went away. Little bit smoky though.

Mine is only a few weeks old, under 1k, and I have the squeal. reverse, light pedal, cool 8:30am in woody hilly shaded area in VA this morning. This is immediately after waking from pulling over to sleep a few hours so truck is cold. It's not raining but it is overcast plus morning dew.

Just got the TSB done, squeal is gone, bedded in the brakes a bit on the drive home, luckily my dealer had the parts on hand and got it done next day :)

Did you drop off your truck at the dealer and have them recreate the noise or you have it on video and show it to them? or just tell them you have it without the proof and they will replace it because of the TSB?

I’ll say in my case since I was already there, they just had one of the techs put it in reverse. I gave them the TSB number and it was as simple as that.
